It’s time for the annual Cat Lovers Blog Hop hosted over at Her Peaceful Garden. This is the fifth anniversary for this fun blog hop. Stampendous always really enjoys participating in this one, because we are huge cat lovers here! (Although we’ve got lots of dog folks as well!) At that link you can link your projects to win some great prizes. Today is the second day, and you can see more about our participation on today’s link which is Her Peaceful Garden – Day 2.

Some great stamps being featured this week, and being offered as prizes, come from our Laurel Burch images. The wonderful Feline Blooms and Indigo Cat sets with their coordinating Dies Sets are up for grabs over at Her Peaceful Garden. And there are even some individual stamps available as flash prizes! We are taking a look at our Design Team’s favorite cards of the brand new April 2018 Catalog. These products will be live on our website for retail on March 30th! Our newest designs for January from Laurel Burch are all about love as well, and birthday and friendship! But one of our very favorite sets from this release has been the new Laurel Burch Icons Perfectly Clear Stamp Set. This set of little doodles that Laurel included in most of her art provide a great opportunity to make backgrounds and borders with a Laurel Burch flair. They’re ideal embossed in gold or used with your monoprinting plate or other techniques. Here’s the set:

Colorful Laurel Burch Banner

Laurel Burch’s whimsical animal figures are her way of showing the connection we all have to Nature and each other. They are always radiating love and joy. How does she do it? She uses a unique color palette of gorgeous, bright, vibrant colors. We’ve created a color chart for you to use when coloring her wonderful images. You can download it on our website HERE.

This week the fabulous Vicky Papaioannou is working with our new Laurel Burch Tribal Cats in her super-popular art journal! From Gelli printing to stencils to embossing to fantastic paint products, you’re going to love the results of her amazing work. Check it out (be sure to leave her a nice comment!!)

The newest additions to our Laurel Burch collection also include some great stamps available either wood mounted or in Stampendous Cling Rubber. Here’s a look at them, but you can see them all with all of their details on our website.

We are so privileged to be the licensee for artist Laurel Burch’s wonderful artwork in the realm of rubber stamps! Her work is so colorful and bright and full of life and fun. We are always delighted to see what folks share with these stamps. If you share anything, please do let us know by dropping us an email at submissions@stampendous.com with a link to your work. Or you can always join our Stampendous Facebook Group and post your wonderful projects there. We have a Pinterest Board just for Laurel Burch Creations, and we share them on Instagram as well. We’d also love to suggest that you visit laurelburchstudios.com, since the work of this fabulous artist is available on so many other products including tote bags, jewelry, and so much more!

Our January catalog introduced some great, new Laurel Burch stamp images to our line, as well. We’re going to share them this week, along with some great inspiration from our design team! We hope you’ll leap in and leave some love for our newest products and our team’s efforts!

You can see, right away, that both of these sets lend themselves to a very mixed media approach to Laurel Burch. While maintaining the brilliant color palette, the dies let you cut shapes from paste papers, background papers, old photos, and so much more! Adding the stamp over the top defines the images and creates the look. They’re so fun! Here are some of the projects we’ve created with them, always using our colors in proportion to the Laurel Burch Coloring Guide we developed. All of these samples were created by Fran Seiford for our January Catalog.
