Happy Halloween!

Stampendous Blog Star Melinda Gleissner came up with this deliciously Tricky Treat.

Here’s what Melinda has to say.

“While shopping at Michaels the other day, I came across these cute unfinished wood coffins (if a coffin can be cute) and decided to grab some to use as candy holders for my son’s school Halloween party. They are the perfect size to hold a few pieces of candy and a free Frosty coupon. After painting them in both Espresso and Eggplant Adirondack acrylic paint, I stamped the Stampendous Frightful Phrases stamp in Versamark ink and embossed using my favorite Stampendous Midnight Black embossing powder. I have never stamped and embossed on wood before so I’m pretty pleased how the candy boxes turned out.”

“To go along with the boxes I made a clean and simple mini card using two Stampendous sets: Costume Kids and Cling Spider Web.”

Back to School Blessing

Blog Star Melinda Gleissner, made this beautiful Bless You Card, perfect for anyone’s first day back to school. How encouraged would a teacher be to receive a card on the first day of school; or an unexpected surprise for a child to find in their lunch pail.  What a great start for a new school year!

Melinda says…
“Here’s a quick card I wanted to share. It’s made with two terrific Stampendous stamps, the “Shine on You” sentiment and the “Tiled Quad Cube”. Again I used my Stampendous Midnight Black embossing powder. I wish it came in a large, say peanut butter sized jar. I just can’t get enough of it. It’s by far, my favorite black embossing powder. “

Field of Blooms Hello

“I needed a quick card today so I pulled out this great cling stamp from Stampendous. Don’t you just love the hand-drawn look of this stamp? The image consists of four blooms so I stamped it three times to fill the panel. The little patches of grass are from another terrific Stampendous stamp set called Bold Geraniums. Daisies always look so fresh to me with their bright yellow centers and crisp white petals. Copic X-Press It Blending Card is perfect to mimic their look. It is a really bright white card so after coloring the flower centers, I decided to leave the petals alone and just highlight a little with BG0000. I stamped a sentiment and the card was done in less than 15 minutes. Stampendous has so many wonderful images that are perfect for when you need a quick, CAS card.  Please check out the Stampendous Online Store to find the perfect stamp for your next card. Agapanthus Clusters

I feel like I’m right in the center of the flower field. I can almost hear those butterflies fluttering past me. Blog Star Suzanne Czosek (sorry, we had Melinda G. credited earlier, but Suzanne made this cool card) made this incredibly beautiful card. The dark embossed flowers in the background and the light butterflies in the foreground give this card depth. And I just love the gear. Just like something you would find in a timeless, overgrown field. Great job!

“I Love the beautiful clusters of Agapanthus and the fact that half of the flowers are outlines and the other half are solid. It allows me to play with different techniques including using the watercolors and the textured embossing powders together.” – Suzanne Czosek
