We’ve really enjoyed this week with all of you sharing about your favorite fur people! We thought it would be fun to share with you our owner, Fran Seiford’s, own fur baby, Beaver! He’s a sweetie who loves to climb on the keyboard right while she’s making great art for our stamp images. He also gets to be the stylish model for some of our kitty stamps!
And this is Avonlea, she’s Fran’s “great-niece”, and lives with Fran’s human niece, Anne Smallwood. She’s a curious little thing who plopped right down to have her photo taken when she found out about this blog series.
And our Design Team has one more round of cards to post for our Gone to the Dogs (and Cats)! theme week. Stop by and give them some love:
At Stampendous we love our pets, and dog and cat stamps work their way into our releases frequently. Our April Catalog release was no exception, let us introduce you to our newest takes on man’s best friend, and cats, too!
Laurel Burch was extremely fond of both dogs and cats, and she drew them prolifically. We’ve added several of those images as stamps, so you can do the same thing.
The Dog Park Cling Rubber Set with its coordinating cutting dies is so sweet, and the ability to cut them out so easily provides tons of options for great projects. And one lucky winner can receive these two products by commenting on our blog posts this week. Each comment is an entry, so leave us some love! Tell us about your pets in a comment or two! We’ll take comments all week through Sunday and announce a winner on Monday. Official Rules
You’ll love some of the darling samples that Fran created for our April Catalog.
These projects are available on our website by searching Dog Park. We’ll share some more of her whimsical samples later in the week.
Our January and April Catalogs also included some great cat/dog images mounted on your choice of wood handles or Stampendous Cling rubber. Here’s a look a the latest offerings – YOU CAN FIND THEM ALL HERE:
We’ll be sharing lots of inspiration over on our Instagram Feed this week. Plus you can find projects featuring all of these stamps on our website projects section. Just click HERE and search Laurel Burch.

Last week many of you came up with some really creative gift ideas for the Sketch Challenge. And we also wrote a blog post featuring presents made by our design team. This week we’d like to show you a few great gifts that would be perfect for your fellow stamp loving friends or even your family, co-workers and neighbors! They don’t have to be stampers to enjoy a cuddly Fluffles the cat sweater or a cheery Changito the monkey mug! Many of our fans have asked for cool merch with their favorite Stampendous characters on them… and here they are, now available at Cafe Press!
And if you have any suggestions for Stampendous merchandise you’d like to see in the future, let us know in the comments below!
Now that Easter is over, it’s time to get scrapbooking those special spring moments. But when your pages are done, our Funny Bunny is ready to do double duty as an owl. This fun card by our Art Director, Lisa Hindsley, and her ktty assistant, Fred, was created using a cd case instead of an acrylic handle. She spread the bunny image out to be as fat as possible with his ears parallel. After stamping, she turned him upside down to get the owl shape. Then she stamped an extra bunny ear to become the third tail feather. Adding some Perfectly Clear Stamp sets of flowers created his eyes and branch.
