What a great hop! It is always fun to see what our designers will come up with during collaborations with other companies. We had a great time and the design teams from both companies were so creative with their projects. If you missed the hop last week take a look through our Pinterest gallery for ideas and links to all the designer projects.
We have had a great time with the products from Deflecto and their talented team of designers. We hope you’ve been hopping along with us all week long and enjoying this new mix of products. If you’ve missed a day or two you can find links to each day of the hop after today’s participating designers.

Just finding our hop today and need to catch up? Stop by our posts on MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY to see what everyone created this week. One could also stop by our new Stampendous and Deflecto Pinterest board and hop through the projects in one easy spot.
It’s our weekly Dreamweaver Thursday and we have already seen some fantastic examples of stenciling on Deflecto products. Here are a couple projects from the design team to get today’s hop started.
A serene photo frame by Wendy Price using Dreamweaver Stencils LG720 Lotus stencil is great for its versatility and simplicity. You’ll see more ideas on combining stencils with Deflecto Craft products and we can’t wait for you to see them!

Here we are on our last, and biggest hop day with international mixed media artist Andy Skinner and his wonderful Design Team at DecoArt. We hope you’ve been amazed and delighted at the inspiration we’ve shared with you. Andy’s stamps are just so exciting and fun to use, and we know you’ve loved seeing the range of the DecoArt Fluid Media line as well.
One reason we focused on the Media range for this blog hop, is that it’s the perfect acrylic paint to use when tinting your Dreamweaver Embossing Pastes! Just one drop of these pigment-rich media paints is enough to tint a generous quantity of paste for making your favorite backgrounds. Don’t be afraid to color your pastes to match your projects. Most Dreamweaver Embossing Pastes can be tinted very easily. Here are some examples from our own Leadonna Fritts! You might just recognize some of these made into projects on her blog this week.
Now get hopping and be sure to leave a trail of comments on each of the designer blogs. Each comment gets you one entry for a great prize package (open to everyone) of all three of Andy Skinner’s newest stamps for Stampendous PLUS a Fluid Media Acrylic Starter Kit.
According to my email from the Disney Store, today is National Polka Dot Day! Wow… well, if you’re a huge fan of polka dots, you’re in luck, because we have a really fun option for you!
Our Graduated Dot Stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils is perfect for adding polka dots to any project you’d like. This stencil is awesome because it really lends itself to all the terrific stenciling techniques, plus it makes a perfect background for any of our wonderful Stampendous Images. Let’s take a look (you can click on the pictures to be taken to the project on our website with complete supply lists and instructions) –
This darling card using House-Mouse Designs® Baby Blanket image was created by Kristine Reynolds using the Graduated Dot stencil. She pasted it with regular embossing paste then stenciled it with Paintsticks and a stencil brush. She used it in a landscape position to provide a quick and darling background.
In this wonderful card by Lyn Bernatovich, the Graduated Dot Stencil has been dry embossed using a Big Shot die cutting machine. To do this, place the stencil, copyright side down, on the Multipurpose Platform of your Big Shot. Then spritz the back of your card with a bit of water and place it on the stencil. Next add a rubber embossing mat and two new, uncut, clear plates on top. Then run it through. The little spritz of water gives you a crisp embossed finish.
Another terrific card by Amy Hurley-Purdie shows that adding some Crystal Micro Glitter to the pasted stencil design can make a really dynamic finish when you’re using a smaller stamp on a larger card.
Finally, a quick stenciling with ink has made a terrific, simple background for this wonderful Christmas card by Tenia Nelson.
Need more ideas? Check out our website at http://www.stampendous.com and just search Gradated Dot Stencil. You’ll find a tab for product then a tab for projects that will help you find just the things you need. Happy Polka Dot Day!!

We are clinging on to our pumpkin theme this week with a great tutorial that could be a little clingy and addicting, because you’ll be clinging to everything once you’ve seen what’s up with stencils and pumpkins. Speaking of pumpkins here are a few of the popular stencils on our website.
Here’s a great tutorial from the archives that will help you cling to new ways of using your stencil designs.
Step 1: Apply tape to all four sides of stencil and onto craft sheet.
Step 2: Using palette knife, apply paste along edge of spreader approximately the same width as the stencil design.
Step 3: Spread four fingers along back of spreader, and apply paste at an acute angle across the stencil. If there are gaps, place paste with palette knife in them, and then go back over the design with the spreader at a 90 degree angle.
Step 4: Carefully remove tape from three sides and use a fourth piece as a hinge to lift stencil up and away. Clean stencil immediately with warm water and a nail brush.
Step 5: Pour glitter over wet paste and carefully press into surface. Set aside to dry.
(Follow above steps with Bats stencil as well.)
Step 6: When dry, shake off glitter onto scrap paper, and funnel back into jar. (Note: A “Swiffer” cloth is great for removing excess glitter.) Apply drops of glue between each section of design as a bridge. Let dry.
Step 7: Carefully peel “clings” from craft sheet and press apply onto clean pumpkins, no extra glue needed. Clings can be removed if desired. They can also be pressed onto windows, glass hurricane lanterns, etc.
Now for some pretty pumpkin projects from these stencil artists —
