Hello Stampers! Sorry to be absent for a bit, we’ve been tweaking our new website getting ready for the grand reveal. It just took a bit more tweaking than anticipated. Thanks so much for your patience as we’ve worked out the kinks. We’ll make a separate post for that before the end of the week!
Last week we didn’t get to post much, but our Design Team sure did. They were working with the best of Stampendous’ Inspirational offerings sending Easter thoughts out to all of you for our new month! Don’t you love the gorgeous samples by DT Member Wendy Price above? Such rich, luscious color. She’s fantastic! Hopefully you’ll enjoy the creative and gorgeous samples they all made! Hop around, leave them some love in the form of supportive comments! We’ll be back with more excitement tomorrow!
Today’s the big day! Be sure you’re hopping around to all the blogs. Leave a comment here for us, then hop to the May Arts Blog for some more inspiration, then check out our Design Team members as they show their talents with ribbon and stamps! You’ll get one entry for each comment you leave. You have until the end of Sunday evening to leave your comments.
We’ve had so much fun this week! May Arts has been so wonderful to us and our team has always enjoyed playing with their superior quality ribbons and embellishments! Here’s some more inspiration from our January Catalog featuring May Arts products in all their glory!
Now go see what our Design Team has for you today!
Stampendous recently produced at line of signature cling rubber stamps designed by Nathalie, and she’s done some fantastic things combining them with our Creative Palette, embossing powders, and templates. She’s been teaching classes in New York, Canada, and points beyond, and soon she heads to Malaysia to introduce these products there!
Our Design Team has been playing with the Creative Palette, too, and they’re always discovering something new! Check out who is sharing today:
Hello everyone, Asia King here. Today I’d like to share a card I made for my friends as a house warming gift.
My friends once lived near a house with chickens and they used to get woken up every morning at 4.00AM by their neighbours’ rooster. So I thought I would make a card with a suitable image so they can fondly remember their old place…:-P.
To add to my rooster/countryside theme I decided to use a chalkboard look, inspired by the card shared by Tobi Crawford here. Except for my chalkboard ‘dust’ I used chalk pencils and Picket Fence Distress Stain.
4. Distress the edges with a paper distresser. Chalk up the letters with the Picket Fence stain.
5. Mount the banner and flowers onto the card using 3d foam squares. Add a sprinkle of Fran-tage using Red and Green Encrusted Jewel Kits (I’m sorry, I forgot to take the picture at this stage). Heat from underneath.
So what are your ‘new beginnings’ for this year? We hope you’re planning to check out and participate in our Monthly Challenges!
Our Design Team is very appropriately stamping with our newest Snowmen this week! Many of them are snowed in with their children, and happy for a few more days of Winter Break, but baby, it’s cold out there!! Remember, if you make real snowmen, or just stamp with ours, send us a picture or tag us on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest photos with #Stampendous.
We’re counting our blessings in sunny Southern California this week, and our prayers are with our friends all over the country (and the world) who are trudging through record cold and snow! We’re sending warm thoughts your way!!
We’re also super busy building a new website experience for you, and gearing up for the BIG Craft and Hobby Association show in Anaheim this weekend. Sorry if we’ve fallen behind! Our Design Team has still been sharing, however, and we wanted to make sure you caught their posts!
Last week they shared our House-Mouse Designs® Winter Themed Stamps! You can see their fantastic cards at the following links:
This week the theme is Snowmen! If you’re even able to get outside to make a snowman, we’d love to see a photo of yours! Tag us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram if you post your snowman photos. Use #Stampendous any time to get our attention!
We’re celebrating Winter this week, the Stampendous way! With lots of warm beverages, a kitty snuggled in our lap, and some great stamping going on in the craft room! (only a TRUE crafter can still stamp with a cat on her lap!) We really love the way a light sprinkling of our Chunky White Embossing Enamel or our Shabby White Embossing Enamel can mimic actual snow on your card (just sprinkle and heat from underneath so it doesn’t blow off…no ink or glue needed). Our Design Team is bringing you lots of chilly inspiration for your Warm Winter greetings going out to your friends, or for your scrapbook pages full of snow much fun!
But the stamping is so delightful!! We hope you have some time over the holidays to do some crafting just for yourself. Maybe you’ll get to play with those new goodies you got for Christmas?
Well if it’s a Winter theme you have in mind, we’ve got you covered in our July 2013 catalog! Ice Skates? We’ve got ’em. Penguins? We’ve got ’em. Snowflakes? Yep. Warm Sweaters? You betcha. (We even have winter mice, but they’re for next week, and snowmen the week after!) Come along and see what our terrific Design Team is sharing today to warm you up inside! Then sit on down and stamp the winter away!
We’re looking this week at the darling holiday images from House-Mouse Designs®. We’re so blessed at Stampendous to be creating stamps with the darling little characters from the pen of Ellen Jareckie!
We wanted to remind you as well that House-Mouse Designs® has its own blog with some seriously talented designers AND a weekly challenge where you can win free products and even digital downloads! It’s pretty darn fun!! Check them out at House-Mouse Challenge Blog. The official House-Mouse Website also has a gallery where you can view the creations of others and post your own – HMD by Me. And you know you can follow these darling critters on Facebook, and Pinterest. If you’re becoming as fond of these little guys as we are, there is lots and lots of inspiration on the web!

Along with this project I put together a couple quick tips for our friends that may be just getting into card making. This is also for the long time, die hard card makers too. Sometimes we forget little things we’ve learned over the years…..
Like embossing metal brads…..
Or….not die cutting a certain area of and image. And….Using our dies to make shaped cards!!!
I will be back tomorrow with an over the top one of my favorite Christmas House Mouse Cards!!!!
