Hello Stampers! Sorry to be absent for a bit, we’ve been tweaking our new website getting ready for the grand reveal. It just took a bit more tweaking than anticipated. Thanks so much for your patience as we’ve worked out the kinks. We’ll make a separate post for that before the end of the week!

Last week we didn’t get to post much, but our Design Team sure did. They were working with the best of Stampendous’ Inspirational offerings sending Easter thoughts out to all of you for our new month! Don’t you love the gorgeous samples by DT Member Wendy Price above? Such rich, luscious color. She’s fantastic! Hopefully you’ll enjoy the creative and gorgeous samples they all made! Hop around, leave them some love in the form of supportive comments! We’ll be back with more excitement tomorrow!

Creative Palette – Creative Genius

We are so super excited about our Creative Palette and the things that terrific artists like International Mixed Media Artist Nathalie Kalbach are doing with it using stamps, stencils, acrylic paints, and so much more!

NatKalbach_CHAWS18_SMALL

Stampendous recently produced at line of signature cling rubber stamps designed by Nathalie, and she’s done some fantastic things combining them with our Creative Palette, embossing powders, and templates. She’s been teaching classes in New York, Canada, and points beyond, and soon she heads to Malaysia to introduce these products there!

Our Design Team has been playing with the Creative Palette, too, and they’re always discovering something new! Check out who is sharing today:

Welcome Home by Asia King

Hello everyone, Asia King here. Today I’d like to share a card I made for my friends as a house warming gift.

My friends once lived near a house with chickens and they used to get woken up every morning at 4.00AM by their neighbours’ rooster. So I thought I would make a card with a suitable image so they can fondly remember their old place…:-P.

To add to my rooster/countryside theme I decided to use a chalkboard look, inspired by the card shared by Tobi Crawford here. Except for my chalkboard ‘dust’ I used chalk pencils and Picket Fence Distress Stain.

1. Stamp the cling Rooster Elements with clear embossing ink onto black card. Heat emboss it in White Detail Embossing Powder.
2. Add a doodled frame around the image with a white chalk pencil. Add chalk dust with the Picket Fence Distress Stain.
3. Prepare your card blank and cover it with patterned papers, ribbon and burlap trim. Layer your image panel over 3D foam squares. Stamp the words ‘new home’ onto patterned paper using Vintage Lowercase Perfectly Clear stamps and cut the letters out.
4. Distress the edges with a paper distresser. Chalk up the letters with the Picket Fence stain.
5. Mount the banner and flowers onto the card using 3d foam squares. Add a sprinkle of Fran-tage using Red and Green Encrusted Jewel Kits (I’m sorry, I forgot to take the picture at this stage). Heat from underneath.
So what are your ‘new beginnings’ for this year? We hope you’re planning to check out and participate in our Monthly Challenges!
Thanks for visiting today. Until next time!
Big crafty hugs
Asia

We’re also super busy building a new website experience for you, and gearing up for the BIG Craft and Hobby Association show in Anaheim this weekend. Sorry if we’ve fallen behind! Our Design Team has still been sharing, however, and we wanted to make sure you caught their posts!

We’re celebrating Winter this week, the Stampendous way! With lots of warm beverages, a kitty snuggled in our lap, and some great stamping going on in the craft room! (only a TRUE crafter can still stamp with a cat on her lap!) We really love the way a light sprinkling of our Chunky White Embossing Enamel or our Shabby White Embossing Enamel can mimic actual snow on your card (just sprinkle and heat from underneath so it doesn’t blow off…no ink or glue needed).  Our Design Team is bringing you lots of chilly inspiration for your Warm Winter greetings going out to your friends, or for your scrapbook pages full of snow much fun!

Well if it’s a Winter theme you have in mind, we’ve got you covered in our July 2013 catalog! Ice Skates? We’ve got ’em. Penguins? We’ve got ’em. Snowflakes? Yep. Warm Sweaters? You betcha. (We even have winter mice, but they’re for next week, and snowmen the week after!) Come along and see what our terrific Design Team is sharing today to warm you up inside! Then sit on down and stamp the winter away!

Rhea Weigand (a different card than below)

Hello,  Today I am sharing Chin Up House Mouse which you can now get in cling from Stampendous!  I also used the Christmas Background stamp for the sentiment.
Along with this project I put together a couple quick tips for our friends that may be just getting into card making.  This is also for the long time, die hard card makers too.  Sometimes we forget little things we’ve learned over the years…..
Like embossing metal brads…..
Or….not die cutting a certain area of and image.  And….Using our dies to make shaped cards!!!
I will be back tomorrow with an over the top one of my favorite Christmas House Mouse Cards!!!!
