It’s Skull-rific Around Here

Skulls Galore!

Howdy Crafters!

We had a fabulous time last week partnering with Add A Little Dazzle and the Dazzling Divas. Both teams created such fabulous projects that we started a Pinterest board for you to be able to easily see them long after our collaboration week was over. We love to share with you when we have a collaboration week so there was a chance to win some of the goodies we used, three prize packages to be exact, for commenting on the design team blogs throughout the week. We will be posting the winners in a separate post.

We are chattering to the bone with excitement over this week’s Skulls Galore theme.

Here’s a fun project featuring our Cling Blossom Beauty plus our Cling Hydrangea Garden Set and the Hydrangea Garden Cutting Dies Set. This card was made previously by our in-house Sample Artist Debi Hammons. I was able to bling it up very quickly with the addition of just a few hydrangea blossoms cut from the gorgeous turquoise metal sheets. I stamped them with StazOn Ultramarine ink, die cut them with our Sizzix Big Shot, cut between the petals with scissors and crumpled them up a bit, then added some of our gorgeous Teal Micro Glitter with a drop of Zip Dry by Beacon Adhesives. Talk about adding a LOT of Dazzle!!

Just Add a Little Dazzle!

This week we have a special collaboration for you (and yes, there are PRIZES)! We’re playing with Add a Little Dazzle’s Metal Sheets all week, and you’ll be thrilled at the looks you can get when you combine this gorgeous product with stamps, dies, powders, etc!

The company very generously sent each of our Design Team members an assortment of their gorgeous metal. You can punch it, stamp on it, die cut it, cut, sand it to reveal its silver lining, the possibilities are endless! You’ll love playing with this product, and we know you want to win some!

We’re offering three prize packages in exchange for comments on the blog posts this week. The prize package consists of the Stampendous Blossom Beauty Stamp set, the Blossom Beauty Cutting Dies and an Assortment Package of gorgeously colored metal sheets.

Here’s my sample using the Blossom Beauty. I die cut the flowers after I stamped them with StazOn. I stamped the Butterfly with our W120 Rattan Weave stamp before die cutting him and stamped it on the card front as well. The butterfly is from the Lovely Garden Die Set. Notice that I added our Gold Holographic Dot Sparklers Class A’Peels™ Stickers to the flower center for even more dazzle!

Thursday Treats!

Fall is just around the corner and Halloween is on its way. We just can’t resist this season with spooky fun and tiny treats! There’s candy in the office, Halloween decor (lots of it courtesy of our Design Team samples!), and tricky fun around every corner. Our adorable friends from House-Mouse Designs® find this season irresistible, too! Artist Ellen Jareckie has given Monica, Maxwell, Amanda, Muzzy and Mudpie an irrepressible urge to dress up and go looking for candy! They’ve got quite a sweet tooth!  Our Design Team loves to color these adorable critters, and they’ve got some delightful inspiration for you today.

Ellen’s Gruffies® like Halloween, too! Booda and Pebble have gathered some treats, but Pebble has spilled his! Poor thing, I’m sure Booda will help him pick them up, but some may end up in her basket! Have a gander at this adorable card that Suzanne Czosek colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarelle watercolor pencils – you can try this project yourself on our website HERE.
