We’re Sticking with Scrapbook Adhesives!

Scrapbook Adhesives Holiday Blog Hop

All week long we are hopping with the design team from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®. They’ll be sharing some of our newest holiday products while we show you how to stick in style with their amazing adhesives.

In case you missed Monday’s posts, check out the Stampendous Post and the Scrapbook Adhesives Post.

You KNOW there are prizes! We’ve got three lovely prize packages this week. Each includes a really fun selection of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products and one of our new Cling Stamp and Die sets (sssh… it’s a surprise!). How do you win??

Well, first leave us a comment below, then visit the

and leave them a comment.

THEN click on this Rafflecopter Link  (it’s on their blog, too) and follow the instructions there. Easy! U.S. winners only, and our Official Rules are always HERE.

Today we want to share another amazing sample with our Winter White Cling Stamps and Cutting Dies Set. Snowflakes are always among our most popular choices, and when they have matching dies you can just cut out a flurry of them for some really great projects.

We use only Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s  3D Foam Adhesive Squares for popping up our elements here at Stampendous. They very generously supply them to us for all of our Store Display boards and we’re super grateful for their generosity! Here, Fran used them to pop up some new snowflakes over a gorgeous alcohol ink background by Jennifer Dove.  Jennifer airbrushed a glossy white card with Copic Markers then spritzed it with Copic Blending Solution in a spray bottle. You can do this same technique with watercolors spritzed with water, or alcohol inks sprayed directly on the card. The perfect spot for your greeting may vary, so your cards will be different, just like snowflakes. Create your backgrounds a whole sheet at time and cut up for your cards. You can see this card up close by clicking on it above.

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration and more hopping fun!!

Get your fill (and refill) of Clearsnap inks!!

Clearsnap ink pads come deliciously full of top quality ink, but the fact that they have refills available for all of their pads is such a plus! Keeping a stamp pad well-inked provides so many benefits to the stamper.

  • You can use less downward pressure on a well-inked pad to ink your stamp thoroughly. This helps to avoid inking any excess rubber in the center or edges of your design, decreasing stamping mistakes.
  • Inking lightly allows you to press more firmly on the paper and get a better, clearer impression.
  • A well inked pad is also less likely to dry and shrink. Shrinkage can cause the pad to pull away from its plastic case and makes it fall apart more quickly.

But these benefits are secondary to all the exciting things you can do with just a bottle of ink!! The availability of color-matched ink refills allows you to sponge matching background colors, distress the edges of your card panels, and use tools like brayers to create amazing background patterns.

You can even make cards like these alcohol ink cards by Jennifer Dove and Wendy Price by applying Surfacez ink refills to a makeup sponge, dabbing on glossy cardstock, then spritzing with Surfacez Cleaner or Rubbing Alcohol. WOW!!

Stampendous and Clearsnap Blog Buddies

This week we’re showcasing projects that feature Clearsnap’s extensive range of inks and other stamping accessories. Their coloring options produce marvelous results with our stamps and embossing powders, and our Design Teams will be really showing off their stuff! We have some super fun projects to share with you.

Clearsnap® has recently released a line of permanent inks called ColorBox™ Surfacez. With 12 brilliant colors and refills available, we have had some serious fun with these products. Our own Fran Seiford created this mixed media panel by stamping on canvas fabric with the Surfacez ink and our  SSC1177 Butterfly Charms Perfectly Clear Stamps™ Set and our Plume Portrait stamp. A bit of Encrusted Jewel Technique with our Purple Encrusted Jewel Technique Kit really finishes off this piece.
