Gnomes for all Seasons

The new Stampendous Gnomes and Friends Die Set gives you tons of options for creating darling gnomes and their families for the Holiday Season. In a new, exclusive video, Fran shows you how to take these darling gnomes and make Santa, Mrs. Santa, and the elves.

Isn’t that sweet?!! What a creative idea. Here’s another…

We challenged our Design Team to create a Halloween witch using these same gnome dies, and teamie Alison Heikkila really rose to the challenge! She created this darling witch with her sweet black kitty using the Gnomes and Friends Dies with a background using the elements from the Corny Candy Perfectly Clear Stamps Set to create a complete card! Be sure to check out her darling project here –

Halloween Labels – Potion Safety

31 Days of Halloween 2017 Banner

We’re back today with a little public service announcement about your witch’s potions. It’s always so important to label them correctly! Using eye of newt when you needed toe of frog, as we all know, can be an utter disaster. That’s why we’ve created this wonderful Cling Rubber and Cutting Die Set this year – Halloween Labels. You can click on the picture to be taken to the product on our website.

The wonderful Janelle Stollfus from our Design Team created some incredible Potion Bottles using plastic milk and juice bottles and some wonderfully drippy Frantage Embossing Enamels. You can click the picture to be taken to the project supplies and instructions.

In our own dungeon at Stampendous, we created these marvelous bottles to hold glitters, mica, and other sparkly things with which we make magic every day.

The amazing Lea Fritts from our design team made this wonderful coffin….see, this is the kind of thing that happens when potions go bad!

Showing Our Witchy Side

Welcome back to another haunting day of our “Got it? Haunt It!” week and today we are sharing two stamp sets that have so many iconic Halloween images and clever match ups, you’ll be making a wicked amount of fun projects.

Let’s start with Halloween Haunts Perfectly Clear Stamps Set. Just look at all these spooky good Halloween images in one set! They are sized to work perfectly on small treat bags or stamp them all together for a fantastic scrapbook border.

This handmade gift box with a stylish tag will be grabbed up in a flash at your Witches Hat party! The witch legs are made combining the legs and striped skirt for a lengthy tag to talk about. We love the addition of the stamped creepy spider to the box for a great pattern paper. That little spider is in the Skeleton Style Perfectly Clear Stamps Set, but that stamp set is for another theme week coming soon!

Friendly Witch Friday

Well, it’s finally Friday this week, and the witches of Stampendous have to get brewing their Halloween potions! We hope you’ve enjoyed your magical week of bewitching creations! We want to leave you with a last few gorgeous projects.

We’re sharing here this terrific creation from Jennie Lin Black! She shared it on her blog earlier in September HERE. A far cry from Macbeth’s three hags, these are the cutest three witches you’ll ever see! Those darling House-Mouse Designs® friends are ready to ride away on their broom! Do you think they’ll leave little pumpkin Mudpie behind? Jennie did the most amazing work on the bricks in this picture. She explains how she did it on her blog post.

Finally – be sure to join us next week when we’ll be collaborating with Dreamweaver Stencils (always fun!) and Core’dinations Cardstocks (even more fun!) for a terrific blog hoppin’ week with great prizes! We’ll be getting our Christmas on!  AND our Halloween explorations will continue with some posts devoted to the Stampendous ravens and crows – Ravens Rule!  Lots going on next week!

Witch Treats Today

We are happy to be back today with more Witchy Wonders. It’s always a treat when House-Mouse Designs® stamps are released, and this time some have come in witch’s costumes. There are some great designer projects with these stamps on our website, so I’ve tucked links to them along with the wood mount images below.

Wow! Witches, and Potions, and Brews – Oh MY!

I just cannot tell you how excited I am by BlogStar Asia King’s post today! I am so going home tonight to copy this entire project. She has created something fabulous and wonderful (as usual), and it’s amazing! I know this project is going to send you shopping on our website and a lot of other places, but PLEASE don’t miss the posts by other Design Team Members at the bottom of Asia’s post! There’s more wicked goodness brewing this week!!

————————————————–
Hello Stampendous Friends! Asia King here. So lovely to see you again!

Today I would like to totally bewitch you with my mixed media brews and potions. With Halloween just around the corner this altered paper mache book would make a perfect home decoration, sure to capture the attention of any Trick or Treaters!

Above is the cover to my ‘Witch’s Brews Anthology’ book and inside…well, inside you can find everything there is to find in a witch’s house lol.
I started by covering my book with Adhesive Sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Next I stuck some thick string in a shape of a spider’s web onto the front and covered it with tissue paper. The tissue paper will stick to the remaining exposed adhesive. This created a texture base for my mixed media assemblage.
You don’t have to worry about the colour of the tissue paper as this will be painted and sprayed later on. The rest of the book was covered with patterned papers inked with distress inks.
The paper I used has lovely gold foil ‘splatters’ which acted as resist for my inking. The inside of the book was stamped with the fabulous stamps from the Perfectly Clear sets Halloween CharmsChandelier and Damask Chair. (Stampendous note: For U.S. stampers – Chandelier and Damask Chair are no longer available on our website, but your local retailer may well have them. Please check http://www.stampendous.com/dealers for a retailer near you!)  And can you see those blood splatters inside?
Here you can see how I decorated the title grunge paper alphas – all inked with distress inks and sprays and sparingly heat embossed with Aged Wine Embossing Enamel.
I also added layers of Aged Wine goodness to the various parts of the book covers.
To add dimension to the elements I used Thin 3D Foam Squares in black – perfect for my dark magic art :).
Here you can see the witch’s ‘living room’ in its full glory, with the lovely chandelier and the damask chair, black cats (foam stickers from a discount store) and beautifully framed pictures of the witch’s relatives… well… you know what I mean. Family ‘heirloom’ stuff lol.
And here is the view of all the magical brews and potions from fresh blood, spider juice, random poisons (Trick or Treat Color Fragments) to heather oils (glass glitter and colour fragments from the Purple Encrusted Jewel Kit), stored in vials adorned with Poison Labels.
So what do you think? Trick or Treat? Treat I hope!
Thank you for popping in today. Please feel free to visit my blog for some close up pics of the project. See you again soon and happy Halloween everyone!
Big crafty hugs
Asia
