Crimson Owl Creations
Why, you ask, weren’t winners posted last week? Yes, several of you asked! 🙂 So sorry for the delay, but our amazingly organized and talented Janelle Stollfus has been on vacation. She keeps all our collaborations on task and organized as well as serving on our Design Team for many, many years. She’s a valuable part of the Stampendous Social Media Team and we’d be lost without her. But we guess she deserves a vacation because…
It’s Her Birthday!!
Our Design Team appreciates all the work Janelle does each week to keep us organized and on track. It’s not easy coordinating all those link lists, especially when blogging software tends to have a mind of its own. But she helps everyone on the team fight the zaniness of internet posting and coordinates our prizes, chooses our winners, and really keeps us going. So it’s time to celebrate her! And we all want to get in on the action. Please hop around the blogs below and see the projects our team designed to celebrate Janelle! Maybe even leave a Happy Birthday comment yourself!
Happy 36th Anniversary to one of our industry’s most amazing publications! RubberStampMadness Magazine and I started stamping together 36 years ago, and they’ve always been one of my favorite magazines in the industry.
They’re not cutesy, they’re not trendy (although they are always aware of the trend), but they are always “artsy” – with a little fartsy mixed in!! Their contributing artists have humor and HUGE stamp collections which they mask and layer to create works of art more often than “greeting cards”. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but they’ve sure been mine. I still have every single issue and have subscribed almost continuously for their entire time in print. I’ve met pen pals in their classified ads with whom I’ve exchanged cards for years, I’ve used their store location guides on every road trip vacation we’ve taken, and I’ve even been published in their pages.
Now you have an opportunity to get a free issue! In honor of their anniversary they are going to send the first 36 people who email them and mention our blog and my name a free issue. So fire up your email, send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org with your home address, and tell her that Laura from the Stampendous Blog sent you! Good Luck! Even if it’s the only RSM issue you ever own, you’ll thumb through it a million times! And you’ll see something new every time you do!
Thanks, RSM for your generous offer!! And here’s to at least 36 more years of inspiring stamp art, new techniques and artsy folks!
It was a week of fantastic fun with all the designer projects combining Add A Little Dazzle and Stampendous products. You did your part and commented and now it’s time to see who gets to make their own goodies with free products!
We counted up the blog hop posts from the whole week of bloggers, put that number into Random.org, and chose three posts from which to pick our comment prize winners. Our bloggers were Gracielle, Pam Hornschu, and Keren Baker. We totaled the comments on each post…subtracted the ones from DT members, then we used Random.org again to choose a winning number from each of those blogs:
Gracielle posted on a Delicate Snowflakes card and here is commenter 11 :
Pam Hornschu posted her Cardinal Gift box and commenter 17:
Keren Baker’s Blog posted the Snowman Banners Gift Bag and commenter 32:
So Burning Rubber, Donna and Janis, please email us your mailing address at email@example.com and we’ll get a Prize Package right out to each of you! Congratulations! And thanks so much to all of you who took time to comment on the blogs. It means so much to the individual bloggers to get your happy feedback!
A note about our Blog Contests – we’ve heard from some of you that you think the same people win all the time on blog contests all over the web. Yep, you’re probably right! We want to assure you that all our drawings are completely random (except that if the name we draw doesn’t have a US mailing address or we can’t tell if you have a U.S. mailing address, we put that name back and draw again).
Want to increase your chances of winning? You’ll notice that winners comment on lots and lots of blogs and lots and lots of posts. That can be time-consuming, sure, they’re earning their winnings. We’ve got some familiar names among the comments on our blog and other social media! We’re super grateful to and appreciative of the folks who time and again visit us on the web, tell us they like what we’re doing, and share it with their friends. They’re doing exactly what we want them to do, and we’re really happy when they win! We won’t tell them they can only win every few months, or otherwise limit them. If we did, they wouldn’t visit us as often. We want you to know that our contests winners are chosen completely at random. Enter more = win more! It’s that easy. Thanks for playing. If you need our Official Rules, they’re always available.
