A Kiss From the Rose

Clean & Simple says it all! Blog Star Janelle Stollfus sure knows how to keep it clean and keep it simple with Stampendous Jumbo Stamps!

“The Jumbo flowers have become my CAS (Clean & Simple) go-to stamp. They create such a dynamic quick card there’s really no need to add more! Here’s what I did to make this card.” – Janelle Stollfus

CRS5006 Cling Jumbo Rose
SSC1116 Friendship Assortment Perfectly Clear™ Stamp
Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle
Other Supplies:
Ink pad
Embroidery Thread (coordinate with ink color)
Piercing Tool
Sewing Needle
Cardstock for card base
Coordinating Pattern Paper
Utility knife

Cut a piece of pattern paper to within 5/8” from the edge of your folded card base. This card uses a 3 5/8-inch by 4 7/8-inch cut pattern paper.

Stamp the jumbo rose onto the bottom left side of the pattern paper.

On a coordinating patter paper, stamp the sentiment from Friendship Assortment set. Trim down the paper and cut the right edge with a shallow ribbon tail angle cut.

Pierce around the edges and sew a straight stitch with embroidery thread.

Cut along one of the outer petals on the right side with a utility knife in the height of the sentiment paper. Slide the sentiment into the cut and adhere from the back.

Glue the pattern paper to the card base.

Start Making Those Thank You Cards

Blog Star, Jennifer J Ingle, sent us this “After the Holidays – Thank You” card sample.

Who doesn’t have someone the thank right now, right? Now that the Christmas cards are out, it’s time to start on the “Thank You” cards. (Lucky for those of us who love to make cards.)

Thank You by Jennifer J Ingle

Jennifer used the little bird from Stampendous’ Charm Collection Perfectly Clear Stamp Set and the words come from out Friendship Assortment Perfectly Clear Set.

Thank You!

“There’s nothing like a stamp that says it all and does it all!
The sentiment in the Cling Jumbo Thank You does exactly that for a superb and quick CAS (Clean & Simple) card. Here’s how that happened on my project today.”

Thank You DAHLIng!

Say “Thank You” to your darling friend with a Dahlia card! That would be a DAHLing friend. Another hybrid. Suzanne, you’re on a roll. Yesterday’s Hydrangium (hydrangea/geranium) and today DAHLing friend (Dahlia/darling). Alright, I admit, the DAHLing thing wasn’t Suzanne’s doing. Just thought I’d add to the whole hybrid thing she started yesterday.

Beautiful card Suzanne. Thank You for sharing it with all of us.

“I can’t get enough of the jumbo flowers. This time I stamped the Dahlia over pattern paper to allow the ledger to show through and add texture.  I used an unusual color palette to provide a little fun color to my card.”  – Suzanne Czosek
