Our Design Team is very appropriately stamping with our newest Snowmen this week! Many of them are snowed in with their children, and happy for a few more days of Winter Break, but baby, it’s cold out there!!  Remember, if you make real snowmen, or just stamp with ours, send us a picture or tag us on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest photos with #Stampendous.

Here are the terrific posts from Tuesday and Wednesday featuring our terrific new Snowman Banners and Build a Snowman Perfectly Clear Stamps Sets as well as our darling Snowball Fight and Sweet Snowgirl stamps.

We’re counting our blessings in sunny Southern California this week, and our prayers are with our friends all over the country (and the world) who are trudging through record cold and snow! We’re sending warm thoughts your way!!

We’re also super busy building a new website experience for you, and gearing up for the BIG Craft and Hobby Association show in Anaheim this weekend. Sorry if we’ve fallen behind! Our Design Team has still been sharing, however, and we wanted to make sure you caught their posts!

Last week they shared our House-Mouse Designs® Winter Themed Stamps! You can see their fantastic cards at the following links:

We’re celebrating Winter this week, the Stampendous way! With lots of warm beverages, a kitty snuggled in our lap, and some great stamping going on in the craft room! (only a TRUE crafter can still stamp with a cat on her lap!) We really love the way a light sprinkling of our Chunky White Embossing Enamel or our Shabby White Embossing Enamel can mimic actual snow on your card (just sprinkle and heat from underneath so it doesn’t blow off…no ink or glue needed).  Our Design Team is bringing you lots of chilly inspiration for your Warm Winter greetings going out to your friends, or for your scrapbook pages full of snow much fun!

Scenic Stamps for Small Business Saturday

The Small Business Saturday movement has been growing. It celebrates small businesses in your town that contribute taxes, fun and community to the places you live. At Stampendous we encourage you to support your local stamp stores and scrapbooking stores when you look for our products.  These stores offer folks who can teach you about the latest products and techniques!

We designed our Stampendous Website around independent businesses. Our site, powered by Shopatron, lets you order from all of our current products, but your order is FILLED and SHIPPED by an independent store that has your items in stock. Sometimes you can pick them up in the store and save the shipping charges! If no one has the items you requested your order is filled from our Anaheim, CA warehouse, but most orders are filled by small businesses in communities like yours! (If you have a store, and want more info about filling orders for our Shopatron website, please contact us at

Encourage those shopping for YOU to patronize small stamp or scrapbook stores and get you that new embossing powder or Jumbo Cling Rubber Stamp you really want! They can shop on our site so there’s no need to run around. OR you can direct them to our Store Locator so they can find a store nearby with our products in stock. Our friendly wholesale customers are delighted to order products at your request.

Here’s more inspiration for your Scenic Holiday Cards using the newest images from our July 2013 Catalog.

Penguins on Ice

Cath Edvalson, Trends Editor for Paper Crafts Magazine, is showing off some of our new stamps on her blog. If you follow “THIS LINK” to her blog and leave a comment by midnight EDT on Sunday, September 4th, and you’ll have a chance to win one of our stamps!

Blog Star, Cindy Coutts, Put our Skating Penguins on Ice, Shaved Ice that is. We now carry a new product in our Frantage Line, that looks just like little bits of translucent, glowing shavings of ice. Great for winterizing your cards and crafts.

Penguins on Ice by Cindy Coutts

This is what the Shaved Ice looks like close up

Stamps: Stampendous Cling Skating Penguin

Card Stock: Papertrey Ink (Shimmer White)

Ink Pads: Memento (Tuxedo Black)

Markers/Colored Pencils: Copic (B26, G19, R27, Y08, YR07)

Other Accessories/Embellishments: Stampendous Shaved Ice

Ribbon/Twine: Papertrey Ink (Royal Velvet 5/8” Saddle Stitch Ribbon)

Machine(s)/Tool(s): ProvoCraft Cuttlebug, Stampin’ Up! Stamp-a-ma-jig

Size: 5-1/2 x 4-1/4

1.     Cut black card stock to A2 size so that the crease is at the top.

2.     Cut a piece of white shimmer card stock to 5-1/4 x 4.

3.     Stamp penguin images onto the white card stock. Stamp your first penguin image on the left so that about only 3/4 of the image is showing. Continue to stamp the images across the card stock.

4.     Color in the penguins using various bright colors.

5.     Tie a purple ribbon at the top of the white card stock knotting it at the left side.

6.     Place foam tape on the back of the image panel and adhere to the black card stock.

7.     Liberally apply liquid glue at the bottom of the image panel and sprinkle on Shaved Ice.

NOTE: When using black ink on shimmer paper, I discovered it really dulls the black ink so there’s several ways that you can bring out the color such as using crystal lacquer, painting shimmer or glitter on the image.

Snowbuddies like you!

Suzanne Czosek, one of our fabulous Stampendeous Blog stars, made this incredible pop-up Christmas card with our Snowy Short Stacks Perfectly Clear Set of stamps.

Adding glitter to the torn edge looks just like little snowy topped mounds. Gives it an extra chilly appearance.

Looks like these little guys are going to decorate the text trees with the gingerbread garland. O.K. I’m ready to pull out the Christmas decorations and start. Oh, wait. It’s not even Fall yet! Maybe I’ll just pull out the Fall decorations for now.

Nice job Suzanne!

Snowmen To Warm Your Heart :)

I’ve yet to see a Christmas decoration in the store, but you know it’s coming quick. Before you know it, we’ll be saying, “OMG, I have to make my Christmas cards and get them in the mail by tomorrow!”

Looks like our Blog Star Piali Biswas is on her way to being ahead of the game. What a super-cute card this is! Maybe you’d like to use it as your inspiration for getting started on your Christmas cards.
