We’re back again, after the spooking has faded a bit, our trick-or-treaters have hung up their costumes for another year, and all the good ghouls and boys are home eating their candy. It’s time again to count our blessings and be grateful for all we have in our lives. Our Design Team is celebrating this Season of Thanks with some great projects this week to inspire you for Thanksgiving.
Several of them have used our wonderful Fall Arrangement Perfectly Clear Stamps Set. This set is so versatile, it can run from Halloween right into Autumn and Thanksgiving. We bet you’d love one! Go visit our designer blogs, and leave us a comment here telling us who is hosting Thanksgiving this year! We’ll give away all our prizes on Friday! One winner from today, U.S. mailing addresses only. All the rules are always HERE.
We sure hope you’ve enjoyed our 31 Days of Halloween, and we hope you have a lot of fun greeting trick-or-treaters tonight or taking your kids to visit the neighbors. Halloween is such a sharing time of year!
We thought we’d end our month with some cute and sweet cards made by our own in-house Sample Artist, Debi Hammons!
Thanks so much for playing with us this month! Wow, there was some great inspiration! Remember that all the inspiration will remain linked to our 31 Days of Halloween page so you can visit it again and again. Be sure to check out the rest of our team sharing today
While things are still spooking away over on our 31 Days of Halloween page, we are ready to give thanks this month for all the wonderful blessings in our lives. American Thanksgiving is such an awesome holiday, because it’s so important to live with an “attitude of gratitude” and appreciate all the wonderful things we have every day. We like to focus on our blessings, here at Stampendous, and we know you do, too!
Our banner this week features those adorable meeces. Stuffing themselves with that favorite of all deserts, pumpkin pie! To win a stamp of these adorable mice, tell us how you like your pumpkin pie… whipped cream or no? whipped pie or no? warm? cold? or just no?! We’ll choose three winners on Friday from our blog comments all week! Remember, U.S. mailing addresses only (yes, territories count) and our Official Rules all live here – Official Rules
Our team will be sharing all week, but here are some samples from last year that feature this adorable stamp:

We’re back with some spooky fun this week and a new prize being offered. This week we celebrate our super fun Halloween Hats Cling Rubber Stamps and Die Set! We just love having the matching dies for our stamps! It’s so much fun to cut out things and layer them up and up and up! We’ll be giving a set away for comments on this post or on our SPECIAL 31 Days of Halloween Page. Each week we’ll draw from all the comments that have been made on that page and on that week’s blog posts.
These Halloween hats fit beautifully on the Pumpkins in this set, but our Sugar Skull can also wear them at a jaunty angle, and we bet you’ll find a lot more perfect fits for these great hats.
We’ve noticed they’re also perfect when paired with our Pop Up Stages! Take a look at how our own Fran Seiford used them here! You can click on the large card to be taken to the project on our website.
Just when you are looking the other way our pumpkin theme could turn to Halloween Haunts. Today’s stamps are just that, oodles of wonderful images to start off October and the upcoming Halloween holiday.

We are clinging on to our pumpkin theme this week with a great tutorial that could be a little clingy and addicting, because you’ll be clinging to everything once you’ve seen what’s up with stencils and pumpkins. Speaking of pumpkins here are a few of the popular stencils on our website.
Here’s a great tutorial from the archives that will help you cling to new ways of using your stencil designs.
Step 1: Apply tape to all four sides of stencil and onto craft sheet.
Step 2: Using palette knife, apply paste along edge of spreader approximately the same width as the stencil design.
Step 3: Spread four fingers along back of spreader, and apply paste at an acute angle across the stencil. If there are gaps, place paste with palette knife in them, and then go back over the design with the spreader at a 90 degree angle.
Step 4: Carefully remove tape from three sides and use a fourth piece as a hinge to lift stencil up and away. Clean stencil immediately with warm water and a nail brush.
Step 5: Pour glitter over wet paste and carefully press into surface. Set aside to dry.
(Follow above steps with Bats stencil as well.)
Step 6: When dry, shake off glitter onto scrap paper, and funnel back into jar. (Note: A “Swiffer” cloth is great for removing excess glitter.) Apply drops of glue between each section of design as a bridge. Let dry.
Step 7: Carefully peel “clings” from craft sheet and press apply onto clean pumpkins, no extra glue needed. Clings can be removed if desired. They can also be pressed onto windows, glass hurricane lanterns, etc.
Now for some pretty pumpkin projects from these stencil artists —
Well it’s not an official day on the calendar, but here on our blog we are celebrating Halloween Pumpkins and the fun combination with other spooky critters that creep along in the night.
Meet Pumpkin Cat a full card size stamp so you won’t need to do anything else to complete your project. Just stamp on colored cardstock or monoprint paper and stick it on a card to mail or hand deliver!
Jennie Lin Black created this Happy Hauntings card with a few more fantastic crawling embellishments after coloring it beautifully spooky.
If you were hopping with us a few weeks ago you’ll recognize Eek A Boo Stamp. It’s a line of All In One stamps that are made for one stamping your small cards and invitation or tags.

Work on the reverse side. The texture paste will come through 🙂
Lightly brush Distress Paint in Forest Moss and Rusty Hinge in a random pattern and let let.
Using a metal stencil…I love Dreamweaver Stencils! Here I used. LJ896 Flourish. Lay Stencil flat. With pallet knife spread texture paste in a thin even coat. Remove Stencil. Let dry. When it was dry I used a metallic rub from Viva Decor to give it “Pop”
Coloring the pumpkins was my favorite part. You may want to click on the above image to see the details and colors used. Each photo is in order of blending.
Here are the finished pumpkins before adding them to the canvas. The stems were easy with the colors included in the the below color pallet.
