Super sweet cherubs are perfect for Christmas greetings to convey the wonder of the Holiday season. These adorable angels are Fran’s favorite this year as they interact with sweet animals for the season. Combine one or more on a holiday card, or you could even use them for sympathy cards, or just daily encouragement. There are so many ways to color them to feature year ’round charm.
Fran made a quick video with some coloring tips, and it features some wonderful samples from our Design Team and Fran herself for using these great stamps. Check it out.
Our design team is also sharing their samples on their blogs this week along with other designs that would make delightful cards for kids or from kids. Check them out here –

We’ve journeyed through the Nativity story this week, but not as far as the magi traveling with precious gifts for the holy babe. This gorgeous new Christmas stamp is perfectly sized for a dramatic card like this one from our Australian Distributor, Julie Makela at The Stencil Specialist.
A simple wreath stamp image with the magic of Christmas wrapped into one sentence for a card, tag or scrapbook page. Really the possibilities are endless, but here’s an example to inspire you done by designer Tenia Nelson with sweetly colored wreath, baubles and bow. It’s simply adorable!
We can’t wait for you to see the rest of our featured designer projects for this week’s theme! Go be inspired and have a fun weekend then meet us back here next week as we wrap up our Christmas inspiration from the July 2015 catalog.
If you are the person that believes that the “reason for the season” is not about fighting to buy that item that is sold out everywhere, that it’s not about piles of presents under the tree, and that it’s not about how many parties you get invited to, but rather about celebrating the birth of the son of God…than this has to be the best week on the Stampendous blog for you! You’ve noticed by now that the Dreamweaver stencils, as well as the Stampendous line of images, provides many inspirational designs to touch your heart and those of your loved ones. Here’s just a few from the Dreamweaver line…

We have some great stamp images to share today as we move through the week of our Child Is Born theme. First up are these two sweet onlookers towards Bethlehem as the star shines brightly in the sky. What a sweet night scene that is colored so beautifully by Alison Heikkila.
Another city scape stamp for today is this beautiful silhouette of the city of Jesus’ birth. Easy to emboss or stamp and go for a quick make of greeting cards.
The holy night would be much quieter without the words from popular verses and carols that are captured in our inspirational and icon stamp set, Joyful Phrases Perfectly Clear Stamps Set.
Laura Drahozal created this sweet card that was shared last week for our House-Mouse theme, but take a look at the great text background! Even as a backup to the Joyful Noise of mouse and bird, these sentiments shine on their own.
It’s another great week of Christmas theme and we are taking a look at stamps and stencils about the holy nativity.
Our inspirational All in One reminds us of the reason for Christmas, the birth of our Savior. Amy Hurley-Purdie colored this stamp using the most perfect color next to scraps of wrinkled bedding to signify the child’s status.
BlogStar Asia King has a beautiful tutorial for us featuring Spectrum Noir Alchol Markers today! And be sure to check out these terrific Design Team Members who have posted projects so far this week:
Lovely to see you all again! Asia King here with another Christmas make.
Today I would like to share a project I made with the beautiful Manger Family stamp. With all the buzz of Christmas gifts shopping, Santa, jingling bells and stuff, we tend to forget what Christmas is actually all about. And this stamp is just perfect for capturing the spirit of the ‘Manger Miracle‘.
I’m not much of a ‘colouring’ stamper but I thought it might be helpful to share the colours of the Spectrum Noir markers I used for colouring the image.
The background was inked with distress inks and the bottom of the image was sprinkled with Pearlized Mica Fragments. As my adhesive for the mica I used E-Z Dots® Mini Permanent from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Every now and then (and not as often as I should) I like to open up our blog statistics and see how many folks are looking at our blog and what they’re looking for. This week several folks searched our blog for Nativity stamps, so I thought we’d post some terrific samples with some of our best sacred stamps in case you still need help with Christmas card ideas.
Design Team member Jennifer Dove made this fantastic card using our CRV186 Cling Sacred Silhouette (also available wood mounted, like all our cling stamps, as V186). If you click on these links you’ll be taken to the product page on our website for the products. Below each product are little pictures of sample cards. Double click those small pictures and they’ll get big. Then, click to enlarge to really see the detail. You can also drag or copy them to your desktop to save them for ideas. Cool, huh? Here’s Jenn’s card. It’s a really easy one because she uses Class A’Peel Stickers to make it look fancy.
I have always loved this fantastic large Wisemen stamp of ours, and every year I breathe a huge sigh of relief when it makes the cut for another year. Our in-house Sample Artist, Debi Hammons, used our new Aged Embossing Enamels on this beautiful piece. She inked the stamp with VersaMark and stamped it. Then she sprinkled Aged Copper on the leftmost king, to remove the powder she tipped the card away from the other two wet kings and tapped off the excess copper. Then sprinkle the center king with Aged Gold, tip away from the remaining wet king and let the powder fall across the copper one. Sprinkle the remaining king and the star with Aged Silver and tap off the excess. Heat and WOW! Don’t they look regal? Adding our new L251 Seek Him (or CRL251 Cling Seek Him) greeting in Aged Gold was just the finishing touch! And that fancy looking background?? She sprayed Kraft card stock with instant coffee mixed very strong with water in our spray bottle! While the paper is wet, sprinkle a few extra coffee grounds on it to create a variety in intensity. Do all your backgrounds and let them dry before embossing.

You’ll notice this year that silhouette styles are in. They make creating a large number of cards so easy because there’s no coloring necessary. Here DT member Lynn Mercurio used the Manger Scene and Precious Bundle to create her CAS card for our challenge earlier this year.

DT member Wendy Jordan used the Manger Scene and Precious Bundle to created this sample embossed in Aged Black on Burlap. What an interesting texture!

If you’re new to stamping, or just want something simple, we created this sample for a demonstration at Michael’s Stores. It features our Traveling Far stamp and Blue Magic embossing powder.

Design Team Member Wendy Price created this beautiful take on the gifts the Wisemen brought the baby Jesus. Wendy embossed our Dream Text with VersaMark ink and Clear Embossing Powder on her paper. then she stamped our fantastic Three Gifts stamp over the top. The embossing powder resists the new ink, when you wipe it with a tissue the words show through in the paper color. Simple but fantastic.
