You know, one of our biggest categories for stamps is BIRTHDAY!  We have more than 60 images to help you make birthdays great for your friends and family, and most of them are available in either wood mounted or cling rubber stamps. And we added some really cute images to this collection in our April Catalog.

This week our team is celebrating birthdays by sharing some of their favorite birthday creations! We think you’ll be super excited to pick up some of these great images, especially with our Free Shipping offer that’s good through August. You know, the one where your shipping is free if you order $50 or more at with Promo Code BLG717! You’ll want to pick up lots of birthday options for all your card recipients.

You could even win a “birthday” present of your own! Leave us a comment or two or three this week and tell us about your most memorable birthday(s)! We’ll give one lucky winner a $20 Stampendous Reward card to spend on our website! U.S. winners only, Official Rules live Here.

Owl be in the Study

It’s Literary Owl who’s in our study today. He’s one of our any occasion stamps that would work great for those projects that instill the reader in you or those that have inspired you through the love of learning. There’s just so many directions you can take with this stamp that we’ll just have to show you a few samples to spark the inspiration bug.

There is a whole bunch of goodness going on with the torn paper, coffee stain map and Fran•táge style bling on this card created by Jennifer Dove.

Wendy made a golden card with a colorful stack of books for his perch. You can recreate this card from the project page on our website.

Here’s one more Literary Owl on a beautiful bookmark. This one was created by design team alumni Suzanne Czosek. Look how she’s created the precariously stacked set of books.

We love this stamp and the projects that were inspired by it. We’ll be back tomorrow with some delightful inspiration from the design team .

Take a Ride on the Reading Railroad

Blog Star, Jennifer J Ingle, make this creative bookmark with one of our new stamp sets. What a great idea for a Birthday or Father’s Day gift, paired with a great book, for your bookworm.

"Masculine Bookmarker" by Jennifer J Ingle
  1. Stamp the map from the Railway Perfectly Clear Set onto kraft paper with distress ink and then cut out the image.
  2. Mount it on black card stock.
  3. Add a bit of mica from the Fran•táge Mica Kit.
  4. Stamp tickets in different color inks on white card stock and cut out.
  5. Distress the edges a bit to give them some age and texture without adding a lot of dark ink!
  6. Adhere them to the front of the  bookmark with glue.
  7. Now I can tuck this into a good book and give as a gift to a friend!  Have a happy day! – Jennifer Ingle

Sketch Challenge #38 WINNER is Michelle Peterson!

Congratulations Michelle! Stampendous Art Director, Lisa Hindsley, has picked Michelle Peterson as the winner and explained why she chose this particular card.

“I chose Michelle as the winner, because the sketch challenge inspired her to come up with yet another ‘never seen before’ use of a stamp set that has been around for a while. It’s always fun to see something really new done with something you have made several cards with. I loved the way she used the patterned paper on the ties, and made a pattern with the paint brushes- and especially loved that ruler on the edge of the card! Very edgy!”
