Are you ready for some footbaaaaallllll!!!??

“Football season is fast approaching. Considering everything that has recently happened with the Buckeyes, this is going to be a tough one but as always, the fans are rallying. When I saw this very cute Fluffles stamp made by Stampendous I knew it was perfect for a little tailgating table topper. And yes, if you really had to, you could change the colors. Fluffles would look cute even in blue & maze. The footballs are from a Stampendous set called For Him. It’s a great set for masculine birthdays or Father’s Day cards. Combined, these stamps are perfect for all of your football season needs: party invitations, cards, table toppers… Go Bucks & thanks for visiting!” – Stampendous Blog Star Melinda Gleissner

Paper: Copic X-Press It Blending Card; Cardstock (unknown)

Ink: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Forest Moss & Peeled Paint Distress Ink

Copic Markers

Card Notes:

Create a side-step card using black cardstock (see directions below).

Cut & emboss a panel using Copic X-Press It Blending Card & Spellbinders die.

Stamp Fluffles image on panel & color; Trim ‘O’ sticker & adhere to helmet.

Stamp 3 footballs on scrap of X-Press It Blending Card & color; Fussy-cut footballs.

Cut buckeyes and leaves several times on various cardstock (green for leaves, 2 shades of brown for nuts); assemble & ink edges of leaves with Distress Ink.

Create sentiment by trimming a border sticker & placing it on 2 mats.

Assemble card.

Side Step Card Instructions:

Start with a piece of cardstock 5.5” x 8.5”.

Place cardstock vertically in the paper trimmer at the 3” mark; Make a cut starting 1” from the bottom edge of the paper and stopping at the 6.5” mark. This cut divides the card into two sections (2.5” & 3” sections) & makes the tall vertical panel on the left side of the card.

Score the 2.5” section at 4.25”. This makes the top fold of this card.

Score the 3” section at the 1”, 2”, 3.25”, 4.5” & 6.5” marks. Please note, these score marks will be perpendicular to the cut. Start measuring all of the score marks from the side where the cut was started (1” from the edge).

Make a series of folds, starting with the 4.25” score line on the tall, vertical side of the card. On the right hand side of card, starting with the first score mark, make a mountain fold. Continue folding the score marks by alternating folds. The second should be valley folded, the third mountain… Crease all folds with a bone folder. The side step card is ready to decorate.

Westward Ho!! Bandanas Galore

We don’t usually focus on just one image on our blog, but you’ve got to admit that our Bandanas stamp is just the cutest for your little buckaroo (or your big one, too)!

We’ve been inspired again by the Fancy Flours blog and their adorable Western Themed cupcakes and adorable handkerchief wrappings (which we can’t help thinking would be dynamite in our fabulous clear pails!). While you’re making cookies and cupcakes, you’ll need a card to match…and we’ve got them here! The best part?? You can buy our Cling Rubber Bandanas at Michael’s Stores and use a coupon! Western, at a discount, what could be better?

Look at this super cute card from our Design Team Member Wendy Price. Isn’t it clever how she stamped the bandana and then cut out the letters with her Cricut? A little white gel pen in the design just makes it pop!

Our Art Director, Lisa Hindsley, went wild with our Bandanas stamp, too. Look at these cute projects she made:

And… our home decor artist extraordinaire, Tammie Wilson, has been having fun with Bandanas. Check out this adorable purse she made:

Team 1 BlogStar Kristine Reynolds has ridden in from the sunset with this adorable addition to our Bandana parade:

Finally, even Fluffles has leaped into the act as Lisa places him peeking out of a Bandana background:

Well, then there, little lady you should probably saddle up and head to your local Michaels store and pick up a Stampendous Cling Bandanas stamp. If you don’t have a local store, you can get it on our website as well. Then stamp something amazing and post it here for us, or put it on our Flickr page, or on our Facebook page, or all of the above. We can’t wait to see what you rustle up!

Even More Gift Ideas…

Last week many of you came up with some really creative gift ideas for the Sketch Challenge. And we also wrote a blog post featuring presents made by our design team. This week we’d like to show you a few great gifts that would be perfect for your fellow stamp loving friends or even your family, co-workers and neighbors! They don’t have to be stampers to enjoy a cuddly Fluffles the cat sweater or a cheery Changito the monkey mug! Many of our fans have asked for cool merch with their favorite Stampendous characters on them… and here they are, now available at Cafe Press!

This mug is made for the office! Don't you think?!

We admit, sometimes knit happens! And with this bag you can transport your needles and yarn to make knit happen anywhere!

A frighteningly cute onsie for your little monkey!

We don't have a clever caption for this one. We just thought it was cute!

Wouldn't you rather kiss the cook if they were wearing this snazzy apron?

And if you have any suggestions for Stampendous merchandise you’d like to see in the future, let us know in the comments below!

Stampendous Sketch Challenge!

Jenn Dove came up with the idea to do a monochromatic design for this week’s sketch challenge! That means that you can make a card or scrapbook page using one color of your choosing and any gradations of that color. Her example is this sweet and simple black and white card using our NEW Yule Penguin Perfectly Clear Stamps.

Pam made a festive Halloween card only using shades of purple. In her card she used the NEW Cling Stamp Hang Out Spider Set.

We’d like to congratulate last week’s challenge winners, Carol and Regla! The challenge was to use an Autumn color palette. Carol’s cheery card was made using the ever-so-popular Ruffled Bloom stamp, which come in Cling Rubber, too!

Regla designed a card with a wily Fluffles falling into a pile of leaves. She used the Fluffles Leap stamp. And if you think this card couldn’t get any cuter, the inside says “happy fall”:

We will be sending them a fun Stampendous surprise in the mail! You could be one of the lucky winners this week! So get out your stash and make something beautiful with Stampendous products. Post your creation to your blog, website, or in any public forum like Paper Craft Planet.com, Splitcoast Stampers.com, Stamp Shack.com or others. Copy the link to your card and paste it into the comment section of this blog post.  Find out more information by clicking on the “Sketch Challenge Rules” link at the top of this blog.

We can’t wait to see what you create with our products! You may use any other products that you like to complete your project!

Saturday Sketch Challenge

Wendy Price crated this week’s Saturday Sketch Challenge. You think it looks too easy of a sketch? Well, the twist is to create your own background paper using stamps.

Here is Jenn Dove’s take on the sketch challenge. She used the Retro Border Perfectly Clear Stamps to make the flowers and the Marble Texture Cube to make the background.

Congratulations to Regla who won last week’s challenge. She used the Bea Fluffles stamp and the Bee-Day stamp. We love her vibrant colors and combination of those two stamps together. Bee-utiful!

Awesome job to frequent sketch challenge winner, Jan! This card was a BIG hit around Stampendous Headquarters! We just loved the use of the Peacock Feather stamp as a background! She also used the Ruffled Bloom flower stamp and the Elegant Edges clear stamp set for the polka dot background.

Don’t worry if you try and post a comment and it doesn’t show up immediately! We post them on Monday.
