It’s the 29th Day of Halloween!! Doomsday!!!

31 Days of Halloween 2017 Banner

Halloween is almost here!  😀  And almost over! 😦

We’ve had so much fun this month, sharing our great Halloween products and projects with you.

We have a super special guest today! Candy Colwell shared this FANTASTIC project over on mixed media artist and stamp designer Andy Skinner’s blog the other day, and WOW… we had to contact her right away to ask if we could share here, too!

She showed us that she had even more fantastic projects, and now we’re just a little fangirl over her wonderful work. She’s been using the amazing Andy Skinner stamps, both new and previous, and it’s wonderful!

Take a look at her Doomsday Clock! (you can click on the pictures to be taken to the tutorial)

His arms move to the “time” of your choice! The skulls dangling from chains on his wrists…. the faux finishing… the great greyboard gates and bits from Tando Creative… oooooh… swoon! Candy used a ton of great products to make this fantastic project, including:

Andy Skinner’s Cling Rubber Stamps – Toxic

Andy Skinner's Cling Rubber Stamps - Birds and Bones
Andy Skinner’s Cling Rubber Stamps – Birds and Bones

Candy was kind enough to point us to another fabulous piece of hers that she did for Andy Skinner’s Blog – (again, clicking the picture will take you to the tutorial).

This is The Bird Brain –

Wowzer!! This was created with even more of Andy’s great stamps like –

Finally, there aren’t words for how much we love this amazing creation with its faux drawers and all kinds of ghastly goodies!

Pink Your Christmas!

[If you’re looking for the 31 Days of Halloween, the links are all HERE]

The latest additions to our Pink Your Life Collection by Nicoletta Zanella are just the most adorable Christmas stamps! We love how cute the sets with coordinating dies are! Finally a great way to make scenes and pop ups so easy with these sweet images!

We’re going to share again with these images in November, but we wanted to showcase them because the Pink Your Life team has done some really fun videos with them. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to check them out! These whimsical characters are so fun to color, and they lend themselves to some pretty creative techniques.

Take a look:

Their product introductory video is HERE on FACEBOOK

And this darling project by Nicoletta is super sweet!

Paisley for All!

Peacock and Paisley

We have two great stamp sets with coordinating dies to share this week. On Monday we met our Poised Peacock and our Paisley Patterns. Both Cling Rubber Stamp Sets come with a free template for masking the images or creating super cool backgrounds. Both also have available, matching, cutting dies! You’ll love these gorgeous sets! (and Free Shipping with Promo Code BLG717 on orders over $50)

On Wednesday we took a closer look at our Poised Peacock. So today, let’s investigate our Paisley Patterns set a little more closely! This awesome set includes six stamps. Five are very definite elements and they have corresponding cutting dies in the die set. The sixth stamp is a wonderful background that is delightful colored in, tone on tone, or even used as a resist pattern. The included stencil/mask set for the five elements is perfect for masking/layering or for coloring them in with stencil brushes, sponges, paint, or other methods.

Fran has created a great video sharing her samples with these fun stamp images:

Wanna win one?

We’ll give away one Poised Peacock Stamp Set and Cutting Dies and one Paisley Patterns Stamp Set and Cutting Dies (so two lucky winners) this week! Just leave us a comment telling us if you’ve ever seen a live peacock! Where? When? Was it just the coolest? We want to know! Or if you’re more Paisley than Peacock, tell us about your lifelong love affair with those irresistible patterns!  U.S. Winners only – Official Rules.

We have so enjoyed this week reading your hilarious adventures with peacocks all over the world. Who knew so many people had chased or been chased by them! You’re all awesome story tellers!! We can sure see that a lot of you would love one of these sets!

We have Design Team Members playing along today –

Pam Bray

Louise Healy

Lea Fritts

And some inspiration from our website – All these samples are by Fran Seiford. You can find them all on our website by searching “Paisley”.

We are Sew Having Fun!

linnie blooms Blog hop banner

The Linnie Blooms line of no sew solution products were created to fit the need for working with different art mediums  on a suitable canvas. This all happened for the owner and founder, Linda Barutha, who in a few short years went from creating a scrapbooking retreat in Central Wisconsin to creating her own line of products from a trend she recognized in her artwork design and wanted to share. We are so happy that she did!

The designers are keeping us inspired and intrigued with each new project and there are many more to come the rest of the week. If you have missed a day of designer projects you can find the links on our MONDAY and TUESDAY posts. We wouldn’t want you to miss out!

Did you find an inspiring project on our hop this week that you just can’t wait to try out? Plus, you’ll receive a Dreamweaver Stencil background, and our Vintage Press Perfectly Clear Stamps™ Set. The Stencil Specialists are sponsoring one Australian prize for this collaboration! You could win a Stampendous stamp, an LL sized Dreamweaver Stencil of your choice, a silicone buttons mould, and a Stampendous Embossing Powder (your color choice)… Wow!! Linnie Blooms and Stampendous Hopping Together

linnie blooms Blog hop banner

This projects this week by default will be mixed media style but don’t let that worry you at all. Some people start looking for the exit signs when that style is mentioned but really the definition of mixed media is one simple rule. Create using at least two different art mediums! When you start with stamps and an ink pad then add products from Linnie Blooms it’s already a mixed media project! From there it’s easy to add ribbon, buttons, paper, paint and more or as little as you decide!

We are hopping all this week and we hope you haven’t missed any projects so far! If you are just joining us today we have posted designer projects before today so if you want to jump back and see them go to the link for the post on Monday.

We have so much fun with these collaboration we think you should have a chance to as well, so there are Prizes!! Three lucky winners will each win a set of Linnie Blooms Fabric Mini File Folders just like they provide for our team. Acoustic Sounds and some Winners

The burst of Acoustic Sounds is evident on our collage style stamp by the same name. It’s swooping and swirling seems to elevate the guitar above the musical background and with these layers already built in to the design you can create a full A2 size card  (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) in minutes.

R224 Acoustic Sounds Wood Mount Rubber Stamp (also available in Cling Mount)

This fantastic card example by Fran Seiford is perfect for a quick card. It has a great rythmic feel to it with that colorful background created using the Creative Palette Rectangles plate.

We know you won’t want to miss a single creation in this hop, and the Eileen Hull Designs Inspiration Team has several members that live outside the United States, so it took a while for them to get their products from us. We need to give them time to post and you time to comment, so the comment deadline will be Sunday, March 8th. A whole extra week! We will continue posting links as we receive them from the Inspiration Team, so be sure to keep checking back. You get one entry for every comment, so you don’t want to miss the chance to leave a thoughtful comment on each project. For those who tend to get lost, we’ll post a “cumulative” link list of links so far on Saturday, February 28th and Saturday, March 7th. Then you can check your progress.

Nursery Blocks Just Grew Up

ATB_Blog_hop

We are so excited to be working with Eileen Hull’s Scoreboards™ box die along with the Artist’s Trading Block Inspiration Team to create some fun and inspiring multi-dimensional art, we’re like children playing with nursery blocks.

These artists blocks are one of the easiest ways to pop up your creative canvas from the convenience of a die cut, eliminating the need for a craft knife and straight edge rule. Once the mat board is die cut, look how easy it is to put together.
