We are thrilled to be back playing with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers in their Blog Hop. This event is always so much fun and sooooo filled with PRIZES!!
Wow, how to win?? So first, dig out your stamps (or click on the picture above and buy our cute little House-Mouse Designs® friends who are enjoying a cookie with their coffee!) and make a sweet card singing the praises of coffee (or chocolate, or tea, or other caffeinated joy), post it somewhere on the internet and get the direct link to it, then click on the image below and pop over to the main blog post to link your card to the challenge.
Our Design Team is playing along, and they will each be able to award a great coffee image to a lucky commenter on their blogs (U.S. Addresses only). Check out their creations – you have until November 8th to comment or enter the challenge above.
Winner can select wood mounted or Cling Rubber for this prize. Look at this sweet cookie holder made by our in-house Sample Artist Debi Hammons! She slipped a two-pack of Mother’s cookies into the pouch, but you could add coffee packets or other treats. A great treat for teacher or classroom! You can find the supply list and directions for this project by clicking on the picture.
We’re joining today with some awesome crafters to help raise awareness of Autism by creating some really fun stuff!! 1 in 68 children in America is diagnosed with some form of autism, and we all need to learn more about this disorder and how to work with and help autistic people and their families. April is Autism Awareness Month. We hope you’ll hop all around the blogs and show us some wonderful, supportive spirit. There are prizes for lucky U.S. Winners from the comments! Click on the picture below to check out the Autism Blog Hop. Click the picture above to visit the Autism Society and learn more about autism and how they are helping families that deal with this issue.

Are you a craft hoarder? Saving your stash for the perfect occasion? When it comes to embossing powders and enamels, this week IS the perfect occasion! There is such a ginormous (technical term!) variety of ways to use these jars of powdery and/or chunky perfection, and our own Fran Seiford has just published a book with ALL of them! You could have this book sitting next to you, and use a different technique for every day of the year! Fran has over 35 years of experience in the crafting industry, and she’s happy to share her skills with embossing powders and other tools of the trade in her new book…Embossing Powder Techniques from A to Z. In the video below, Fran introduces you to her book at the CHA Mega Show.
Want one of your very own? You can purchase it online at Stampendous, or from crafting retail stores in your area…but wouldn’t it be awesome to win one? Three commenters from this week’s blog posts on our blog, and that of each designer’s blog post about the book will be randomly chosen to receive a copy of their own! See Official Contest Rules.
This week the design team is sharing their favorite techniques from the book and here is today’s participant.
We are busy getting our new innovations ready to reveal at this CHA Show in January, but they’re still Top Secret for now. We can let you know that, of course, we are expanding our collections of House-Mouse Designs and Dreamweaver Stencils. Here are a couple selections from our favorites!
January is our largest product release yet, and we can’t wait to share all the new goodies with you at our CHA booth in January!
Happy 36th Anniversary to one of our industry’s most amazing publications! RubberStampMadness Magazine and I started stamping together 36 years ago, and they’ve always been one of my favorite magazines in the industry.
They’re not cutesy, they’re not trendy (although they are always aware of the trend), but they are always “artsy” – with a little fartsy mixed in!! Their contributing artists have humor and HUGE stamp collections which they mask and layer to create works of art more often than “greeting cards”. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but they’ve sure been mine. I still have every single issue and have subscribed almost continuously for their entire time in print. I’ve met pen pals in their classified ads with whom I’ve exchanged cards for years, I’ve used their store location guides on every road trip vacation we’ve taken, and I’ve even been published in their pages.
Now you have an opportunity to get a free issue! In honor of their anniversary they are going to send the first 36 people who email them and mention our blog and my name a free issue. So fire up your email, send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org with your home address, and tell her that Laura from the Stampendous Blog sent you! Good Luck! Even if it’s the only RSM issue you ever own, you’ll thumb through it a million times! And you’ll see something new every time you do!
Thanks, RSM for your generous offer!! And here’s to at least 36 more years of inspiring stamp art, new techniques and artsy folks!
Our design team CAS rockstar, Tenia Nelson, has pulled together a fabulous blog hop today in honor of her son, Theo, who was diagnosed with autism almost a year ago.
Along with friend, Veronica Salis, they have created this hop to bring Autism Awareness to the crafting community and since we LOVE our design team we decided to help Tenia spread the word by sponsoring a giveaway.
