Starry Swirls

One of Fran’s favorite images from the new October 2016 Catalog is Starry Swirls. This stamp was inspired by VanGogh’s Starry Night painting.

starry swirls stamp

Fran wanted to achieve this beautiful nighttime look back in April when our Mermaid Friends Stamp Set debuted.

She created this project using colored pencils, and she realized how time consuming getting this look would be for stampers.

Mermaid Friends and Starry Night

So she sat down and drew Starry Swirls for us! This terrific stamp gives you this gorgeous background look and lends itself to so many wonderful techniques.

Here’s a video that Fran created showing lots of ideas using this great new image.

This stamp perfectly complements our wonderful Sunny Vase stamp set to create lots of gorgeous creations.

A Chill In The Air

Chilling by Monika Thomas

October is here and there is a chill in the air with Halloween just a few weeks away. There are two chilling events going on this week, one that started October 1, is our daily posts for Halloween and our weekly theme with our chilling and haunting image stamps.

Today we have an indelible spooky air in our Chilling stamp with a perfect example from Monika Thomas adding in the Leafless Tree Die and Shadows stamp to complete the spooky tone.

That’s it from us for today, but it doesn’t end here. Stop by these designers who have chilling projects posted, too.

From Small Beginnings with the Creative Squad

Another month has gone by and the Creative Squad has provided fantastic weekly inspiration on Nathalie’s Studio Blog. You can stop by each week’s post by hopping over to them from the gallery below and find out which of Nathalie’s terrific products they used for their creative expressions.

Nathalie’s line of stamps and stencils work fabulously for so many different styles, seasons and projects it is no wonder that we enjoy the Squad’s projects with renewed inspiration every month! Here is a gallery of Nathalie’s Stampendous products over on our website but you can also shop at Nathalie’s store while you’re over on her blog for this months posts.

Nathalie challenged the team this month to think about starting new things and how they experience its beginnings. Enjoy and be inspired!

For Your Holidays and More!

Gingerbread Baker Homemade by Debi Hammons

Time to wrap up this week of goodies using Gingerbread Baker Clear Stamps and Die Set, but there is one more round of inspiration to share with you.

Just when you think that every idea has been done using a product there is another idea that will come around waiting to be whipped up into a project.

Gingerbread Baker Banner by Monika Thomas

Make a delicious banner with this set, like Monika Thomas pulled together in no time with just a few supplies!

Gingerbread Baker Bowl by Wendy Price

The projects up until now have been focused on our sweetest gingerbread man, but if you set him aside and use the rest of the dies you’ll find more great projects as did Wendy with this super cute card using the bowl die.

Gingerbread Baker Tag by Janelle Stollfus

What about a cook’s gift tag? Janelle used the apron and hat along with the border pattern stamps for this festive tag, it even has the heart from the bowl stenciled on the apron pocket.

You can create tons of projects with this stamp and die set for more than the holidays, just change the colors and it can be a great summer set for a cook-out or grilling theme!

That’s all from us here on our blog and there is more on our designer’s blog, too!

Stencil In a Personal Holiday

Gingerbread Baker Sweater by Janelle Stollfus

The fun in our weekly theme is arriving on Thursday to see what stencils we’ll add in the mix, but today there is a twist and it could be just about any one of our stencils!

We’ve given our Gingerbread Baker a personal day off and out of the kitchen so we can inspire you with some stenciling idea.

DWLX7003 Ornate Christmas Tree Stencil

Janelle created a colorful sweater for our baker with Ornate Christmas Tree Stencil to make the sweater on the first card in this post. Use any stencil to make a colorful design and create a oodles of tops, dresses and pants. All you need are a few sticky notes, ink pads, stencil brushes or sponges and a fresh cut Gingerbread Baker.

Gingerbread Baker Jump Rope by Janelle Stollfus

This gingerbread gal is smiling much wider as she’s enjoying some time jumping rope. That super smiling face was made using the shape templates on the Picasso Shield/Stencil tool. Create more expressions just by changing the angles or choosing a different shape!

On your next day off, try creating new ways to use the designs in your stencils, it’s really a lot of fun! Now, let’s see what fresh designs our team is posting today!
