Halloween Labels – Potion Safety

31 Days of Halloween 2017 Banner

We’re back today with a little public service announcement about your witch’s potions. It’s always so important to label them correctly! Using eye of newt when you needed toe of frog, as we all know, can be an utter disaster. That’s why we’ve created this wonderful Cling Rubber and Cutting Die Set this year – Halloween Labels. You can click on the picture to be taken to the product on our website.

The wonderful Janelle Stollfus from our Design Team created some incredible Potion Bottles using plastic milk and juice bottles and some wonderfully drippy Frantage Embossing Enamels. You can click the picture to be taken to the project supplies and instructions.

In our own dungeon at Stampendous, we created these marvelous bottles to hold glitters, mica, and other sparkly things with which we make magic every day.

The amazing Lea Fritts from our design team made this wonderful coffin….see, this is the kind of thing that happens when potions go bad!

Part of Your World 1: Look at this Stuff!

Isn’t it Neat?
Wouldn’t you say our collection’s complete?

We’ve been swimming with mermaids this week in our Part of Your World 1 series. Be sure to join us next week for Part of Your World 2: Under the Sea!

Today we’re sharing one of our most popular stamps of all time! Our Mermaid stamp has been with us since January 2011, and she’s still one of our best sellers.

P151 Mermaid Stamp

She’s been featured in some of the biggest craft stores, like Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics, and she’s been offered by most of our independent retailers as well. She’s been the focus of tons of wonderful projects like the ones below: (click on them to make them larger)

But the pièce de résistance, we’re sure you’ll agree, is this amazing project by Design Team Alumni Suzanne Czosek! This project is our all-time most pinned project on Pinterest! It’s been shared and pinned to boards almost 8,000 times! Isn’t it luscious, with all that Halo Glitter, and Color Fragments, and so much more goodness! It’s really one of our favorites ever!

Do you have a sample you’ve made with our beautiful Mermaid Stamp? We’d love to see it! Feel free to post it on social media and tag us with #Stampendous or @Stampendous. Or post it on our Stampendous Facebook Group, our Stampendous Flickr Group, or email us at submissions@stampendous.com.  You can also upload a Stampendous project of your own at any time at https://www.stampendous.com. On the front page of our site you’ll see a place to Submit Your Project.

Part of Your World 1: Mermaids and More

We’ve been sharing some fun with mermaids this week! Stampendous is lucky to be licensing the wonderful artwork of Laurel Burch, and we were especially excited to add her Mermaid Fishes Cling Rubber Stamp Set and Cutting Dies to our lineup this April. (Check out our whole April Catalog HERE)

We have so much inspiration to share with you using this wonderful stamp set! Check out all the ideas below. Feel free to click on any of the images to see it larger.

Still more exciting is this gorgeous sample that Fran Seiford, Stampendous Owner and Founder, made with her fun and dynamic Encrusted Adhesive Technique!

This gorgeous card looks so lush and complex, but it’s so super-easy to make! Just cut your cardstock, stamp, color and die cut your mermaid and her fish friends, then grab a panel of your favorite double-sided adhesive sheets. We carry two kinds, Sticky Panels and the Dreamweaver Double-Sided Mounting Paper. Place your panel down on your cardstock. Peel off the protective sheet, and place your die cut images. Then fill in the space with color fragments, glitters, and the embossing powders/enamels of your choice. Heat to set, and MAGIC!  Want to see it in action? Check out the video below.

Embossing Across the Ocean

epbook800X800

In February Fran Seiford, Stampendous founder, attended CHSI Stitches 2016 in Europe to share Stampendous in our UK distributor’s, Woodware Craft Collection, booth. While she was there she took three days to spend time on HOCHANDA TV bringing with her lots of ideas and products for making projects using her book, Embossing Powder Techniques from A to Z.

Here is Fran on Hochanda TV with Leonie Pojul going through all the fantastic products used to create fun colorful, shimmery and glossy embossed projects.

Fran’s been creating these gorgeous tiles with melted embossing powder using an electric griddle. They’re really fun and easy to do. And the tiles are ending up on gorgeous canvases like the one above. Even just as a miniature work of art, they’re quite stunning. Have a look at these below.

This technique is shared on several videos on our YouTube channel as well as in Fran’s new book. And this week, we’ve asked our Design Team to share some additional embossing techniques with you! Yep, it’s another whole week of embossing inspiration!! So warm up your heat tool, or electric griddle, (but remember to unplug them when you’re done for the day!) and join us in melting some wonderful, colored powders!!

Embossing Techniques Dreamweaver-Style

Dreamweaver Thursday is going puffy…and sparkly…and shiny…and textured…and cracked, all with the magic of Embossing Powders and Enamels! This week we’ve shown you wonderful examples of just a few of  the techniques in Fran Seiford’s new book as shown below, demonstrated with predominantly Stampendous images. Today we have plenty of embossing love to share with our Dreamweaver stencils!

Here are a few examples from the team…

Created by Louise Healy, featuring the Dreamweaver Dragon stencil, using the “Faux Cloisonné” technique found in Section F, page 24.

Louise_DragonCloisonne

Created by Pam Hornschu featuring the Swirly Heart stencil design with glittery pink embossing powder from the Spring Sparkle Kit, using the “Painting with Powder” technique, found in section Y, pages 90-94.

Another “Painting with Powder” creation by Laura Drahozal. She really demonstrates the “painterly” feel to be achieved by this technique with the Dreamweaver Tree Line stencil.

LauraD_PWPTreelineFinally, another creation by Pam Hornschu, featuring the Peacock Stencil using the “Molten Magic” Technique, as found in section P, pages 38-39, with Fran•tagé Aged Enamels.

I bet we’ve surprised you today with the variety of techniques from the new book that can be easily used with Dreamweaver Stencils. We have a few more to share, but first a reminder…you can purchase the book online at Stampendous, or from crafting retail stores in your area…but wouldn’t it be awesome to win one? We are giving away THREE AUTOGRAPHED copies of the new Embossing Powder Techniques from A to Z by Fran Seiford. For a chance to be a randomly selected winner, leave comments on everyone’s posts for this week, and double check the Prize Rules HERE.

A Stencil, A Stamp, and A Glue Dot® Walk Into a Craft Bar…

STM_GD_banner

Okay, I’m trying to come up with a clever new way to say that the Stampendous/Dreamweaver team has been BUSY this month! This week has been no exception. And today is a three-for-one! One of the perks of being on the team is that we frequently have the opportunity to have “play dates” with other craft companies, and share lots of goodies, and give away lots of goodies! Like the prize package shown below…

STM_GD_prize

As our fans know we love a contest while we hop so three lucky commenters will win a prize package that includes:

Glue Dots® Craft Dots 3/8”
Glue Dots® Mini Dots 3/16”
Glue Dots® Removable Dots 3/8”

Just comment on both company blogs and all the design team posts for our hop with Glue Dots. Commenting is open until Sunday, November 1st at 11:59 pm and winners will be announced sometime on Monday, November 2nd. See Official Contest Rules.

Australian fans, one lucky commenter will win a great prize package from our Australian Distributor The Stencil Specialists that include a Stampendous Stamp, Dreamweaver Stencil and a surprise Stampendous goodie! Let us know where you live when you comment!

Now before you run off to check out our wonderfully “sticky” projects, remember it is also Dreamweaver Thursday, so there will be plenty of bright ideas to use Glue Dots along with your stencil projects, as well as your favorite Stampendous stamps and accessories. You’ve seen the stencils below as suggestions for using with the Buttons Galore challenge a couple of weeks ago. These same stencil designs (and many others) are perfect for adding other embellishments with Glue Dots, including buttons, bows, etc., and as you’ve seen this week, the Glue Dots are ideal for adhering any of our wonderful line of Essential Accessories…glitter, Fran•tagé Enamels and Encrusted Jewel Kits as well.
