Our series on using paint with your stamps wasn’t quite finished when the week ended on us! We wanted to share a couple last projects with you, and our Design Team had some more inspiration for you! We hope you’re tempted to break out your acrylic paints and try some of these great projects!
Remember our Filly Sketch stamp from a couple weeks ago? Well, here is artist Debbie Cole’s take on it. Isn’t it amazing how different an image can look when you use the stamp as a guide or pattern and begin painting over it with acrylics? WOW! (this is 10 times more gorgeous in real life, too!). Debbie also used some of the terrific stamps from our Stack Art Stamp Sets in the background here to add texture and dimension.
Let’s look at the other Design Team Members who posted some painty inspiration on their blogs last week. Then be sure to hurry back here because our week long collaboration with Faber-Castell is next!
In honor of Vegas Paint this week (the Creative Paint Convention for Decorative Painters) we’re going to look some gorgeous examples of using acrylic paints with your rubber stamps.
Decorative painter/artist/teacher Debbie Cole, CDA joined our team last year and we couldn’t be more thrilled. She’s using her decorative painting skills to show us so many new and fantastic ways to use our wonderful stamp images. She makes gorgeous home decor, but she’s totally at home on a smaller scale. Here, Debbie has used our new Stack Art Kraftboard Kits as her canvas to created some ATC-sized painty masterpieces!
Our Design Team has also been busy playing with paint in different ways. We want to be sure to mention that all the paint you see has been GENEROUSLY donated to our team by DecoArt! We are so blessed to have their sponsorship for our painty projects!!! Here’s who has some fun inspiration for you today:

Backgrounds! They’re always a challenge, and stampers and scrapbookers can never get enough. We buy loads of background paper to get different patterns and looks, but here at Stampendous we LOVE to make our own. Using stamps and, now, our new Creative Palette, you can have a lifetime of varied backgrounds without even blinking an eye!
We are so lucky that Mixed Media Artist Nathalie Kalbach has decided to work with us to create some very thrilling background images. Her cling stamp designs plus the unique templates that come with them give you literally hundreds of options for backgrounds.
Additionally, all of our new Stack Art Sets have coordinating stamp sets that create amazing backgrounds. Complete with their own clear handle, these sets of 5 or 6 stamps are absolutely delightful and all backgrounds repeat easily for endless variations!
Check out our new Stack Art Stamp Kits and Kraftboard Kits on our website HERE where you’ll also find dozens of samples for using these terrific products.

This fun, easy art form is one of our very favorite things ever! Pre-cut, kraftboard shapes coordinate with pre-cut adhesive sheets and all sorts of fantastic elements to create fun, funky, simple. elegant, pieces of art. You can apply your most advanced and creative techniques to this product, or take it right out of the package and make something wonderful. Adaptable to all levels of crafting skill and experience. We are in LOVE! There are stamp sets to complement these kits that are a terrific value in themselves, and Elements Kits of glitters and things that work with “sticky stuff” create endless possibilities. Wait until you try it! Check out the introductory video HERE – (we’re editing more great videos as fast as we can)
We love monoprinting! Once you get started you can’t stop, and the endless variations are absolutely enthralling. We wanted our own solution for this, and the Creative Palette was born. It’s sturdy, durable, easily cleanable, and can be stored in any position in its snap-tight container. The huge variety of printing mediums and surfaces makes this truly an endless artform. You’ll see a lot of this terrific product in our future! Check out our quick video HERE – more on the way!
It’s almost time to leave our celebration of Halloween images! This week we’re playing with our newest Kiddos. These cuties do all the things your kids do, you can see the whole collection on our website HERE.
For Halloween our little girl is dressed up as a Pumpkin, and our little boy as a Burglar. They’re just as sweet as can be. They’re both available in wood mounted or cling rubber styles on our website or in your favorite stamping/scrapbooking store. Find a store near you with our Dealer Locator
Today, BlogStar Rhea Weigand has a terrific project for you featuring our Pumpkin Kiddo along with another of her fabulous coloring guides! So Pinnable!! Enjoy!
Be sure to check at the bottom of the post for more Design Team inspiration!
To create the Haunting Background I air-brushed a little BV17, V08, YR16 and YG17 on GLOSSY PAPER. Then spritzed it with alcohol. The alcohol causes the ink to “run away screaming” Pretty fitting being that it is halloween 🙂 After the paper is dry stamp image with Archival Ink. Now you are done.
Next just color your little kiddo. Here are the colors I used.
Now go check out the terrific projects from these Stampendous Design Team Members:
This week we’re exploring the witchy stamps from our Stampendous Halloween 2013 collection! We’ve come up with some really spooky fun designs this year! Our most popular is definitely Mirror Mirror! Here’s a look in wood mounted, it’s also available in Cling Rubber™:
This stamp is fantastic as a background or as the focal point of a card or scrapbook page. Our fantastic friends at Hot Off the Press have created a terrific card using this stamp and they’ve got a complete video tutorial available. The video here covers a lot of their Halloween products (and lots of ours), the Mirror Mirror card starts at 13:20 if you want to skip to the “good parts”… hee hee heeee.
Of course our Design Team are also getting witchy with it this week! Here’s where you can see some more inspiration!
