Gone to the Dogs (and Cats!)

At Stampendous we love our pets, and dog and cat stamps work their way into our releases frequently. Our April Catalog release was no exception, let us introduce you to our newest takes on man’s best friend, and cats, too!

Laurel Burch was extremely fond of both dogs and cats, and she drew them prolifically. We’ve added several of those images as stamps, so you can do the same thing.

The Dog Park Cling Rubber Set with its coordinating cutting dies is so sweet, and the ability to cut them out so easily provides tons of options for great projects. And one lucky winner can receive these two products by commenting on our blog posts this week. Each comment is an entry, so leave us some love! Tell us about your pets in a comment or two!  We’ll take comments all week through Sunday and announce a winner on Monday.  Official Rules

You’ll love some of the darling samples that Fran created for our April Catalog.

These projects are available on our website by searching Dog Park. We’ll share some more of her whimsical samples later in the week.

Our January and April Catalogs also included some great cat/dog images mounted on your choice of wood handles or Stampendous Cling rubber. Here’s a look a the latest offerings – YOU CAN FIND THEM ALL HERE:

We’ll be sharing lots of inspiration over on our Instagram Feed this week. Plus you can find projects featuring all of these stamps on our website projects section. Just click HERE and search Laurel Burch.

For today, we’ve got some fun inspiration from a couple of our Design Team Members! Be sure to leave them some love as well!  See you Friday!

  1. I was so excited to see that you’ve brought back her lovely designs. My MIL gave me a beautiful purse featuring her dog images and I’d love the matching stamps! We had 2 mini schnauzers that the neighbors called “the children” for their excitable (and loud!) behavior… Allen died last year, and people were concerned for a while because it was so quiet when they passed the house LOL. Our 12-year-old Schnauzer Walt does his best to still keep us on our toes, tho! Thanks for the chance to win, for supporting a great artist, and for the eye candy of projects! Best, CG

  2. I was so excited when I saw the original post announcing the Laurel Burch stamps, but none are at my house yet. The love seat I use every day has a LB pillow with an image of 3 dogs done in what I’d call Southwest colors. It’s my favorite piece of home decor, although the dogs look nothing like my sweet Standard Schnauzer, Fritz! Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  3. I love Laurel’s whimsical designs! We have a black lab named Aussie who thinks he is a cat and we truly expect that he will meow one day! His little sisters are two kittens that are about 5months old. Ruby Tuesday is a short haired gray tiger striped, outgoing little mischief maker and Callie-co is a long haired calico who is still quite shy but when it is just us she is a little lover who will run across my bed and jump into my arms when I walk into the room!
I don’t leave home often but when I do, the neighbors are well aware of it because Aussie howls and the girls will meow loudly till I get back home! It doesn’t matter if someone else is home, if I am gone they do this! When I get back home they all run to the door to greet me and fight over who gets loving first!
Just a trip to the mailbox sets them off! LOL at least I know I am totally loved! 😻🐖 🇺🇸

    • Barb, your crew sounds like an awful lot of fun! Isn’t it wonderful to be loved so unconditionally??!! I think cats are shy of strangers because they’re much smarter than we are, Callie-co sounds like a love. And I love her name! – Laura

      • I will try to remember to post a picture of them on your FB page later today so you can see how sweet they are! I bet their devil horns will be holding up their halos if you look close enough! LOL

  4. The designs are so cool. I love all the different ideas that you can color them with. I am a mom to two beagles. They keep our family on their toes. Plus we just got into backyard chickens. We have 6 Rhode Island Reds that are about 4 months old and we just got last week 6 Golden Buff chickens and they are only 2 weeks old.

    • Oh, Beagles require some special parents! They can be quite a handful, so much energy in such a small bundle! And chickens, wow! That must be a fun adventure, I looked yours up, and they are just beautiful!

    • It sounds like you’ve got quite the squad there, Carla! Obviously you love animals and are a good mother! Yorkies are so special and different, we (Laura) had one that was so smart! Parrots are also awesome, so fun and you can watch them for hours. And I love that you have a cat named Groot!

  6. Wow, I love the puppy dogs, pussy cats with matching dies, superb. Misty is our cat and she likes to let you know who’s boss by giving you a nip now and again.

    • I (Laura) have a cat that does that, it’s her way of saying she wants you to keep petting her. She will not put up with you stopping the petting when she’s in the mood. When she’s not, forget it!

  7. I love these fun, whimsical creations by Laurel Burch!
I have a small parrot named Rocky (he’s a Nanday Conure),
but he really thinks he’s a kitty cat! lol I tried to teach him
BOTH “I’m a kitty cat” and “I’m a pretty bird” but he just
never picked up on the bird part … and gets upset when you
call him a pretty bird!! lol

  11. I was only familiar with her cats until I saw her dogs and horses on some cool bags and mugs at Bealls, FL. I have the cat stamps, it’d be so cool to have the dogs, too. They’ll make fab cards to go with the matching gifts! Some of the wooden ones are extra cool! No pets where I live now. Boo! But I enjoy getting my fur therapy at all my friends’ homes with both cats and dogs.

  13. I knew about Laurel Burch’s cat designs but didn’t even know about the dogs. These are so fun and adorable!! My dog, Toby, is a malti-poo who was less than 2 lbs when we got him but is now a healthy, active 17 lb boy!! There is just something about a furry pet that always makes everything better.
