31 Days of Halloween 2016 – Day 8

2016_31-days-of-halloween

We are here for day 8 of 31 Days of Halloween with a project from our in-house designer, Monika Thomas. There is a mesmerizing look to this owl’s eyes and we love the softness the colored pencil creates that makes it a little less spooky.

This card is an easy one to make with the only the need for an ink pad and colored pencils, just image the spooky projects you can do with this fierce stare!

  1. I’ve been working hard to learn to use my colored pencils like this. I think they’re the best coloring option for achieving realistic animal fur. This owl is superb-if I ever get this good, I have the perfect friend to send it to. Thank you this hop and all the spooktacular inspiration.

  2. This owl is magnificent! The eyes draw you in and take hold! If only I could create such depth and realism in my coloring! As my granddaughter says, “practice, practice, practice!” Thanks for the spookaliscious hop!
