Feeling Distressed This Week

This week is going to be a fun week in all things distressing! Yes, fun. It’s all about rough and worn looking projects.

To start off our week we’ll be learning a great technique from Andy Skinner with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, Stampendous Andy Skinner stamps sets and a few common tools. We caught Andy on camera at the CHA Mega Show 2015 creating with this technique and here’s the master artist of rust and distressing at work.

In the video Andy used his Cling Industrial Stamp Set which is a favorite with a few of our design team. It is great for backgrounds and making projects look rusty, peeled paint and scratched. Here’s the set that is linked to our website.

This week our team is de-stressing with lots of ways to distress projects, let’s see what technique these designers have for today!

… I confess, I really struggle with distressing, it distresses me, so I am hoping to overcome this challenge, learn and become confident with it this week!!!

  4. I LOVE those industrial background stamps! The card you crafted is simply amazing! Might have missed the hop; but not the excellent projects and product shares! What a great way to kick off FALL!

  5. Stamping is something I have thoroughly enjoyed for a while now but mixed media is an area of interest that is quickly rising on my to do list. It seems like the most natural progression from stamping for a creative mind and thoroughly satisfying creative outlet. Awesome video!
