Our week of playing with Faber-Castell continues today, and we are LOVING all your comments! We’d be so super grateful if you could all run over to the Stampendous Facebook Page and like us there, too! Pretty please!
Several of you have said you’d like more information on how to use the gelatos. They can be used in so many different ways! Well, we found this fantastic video on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft website! Tiffany Johnson from Iheartart made this great video for one of our favorite customers Simon Says Stamp. We love how she gets right in there with her fingers. We need to do that more.
Bunches of you were excited about the castle like we were!! Ok, we’re not headed to Germany this week, but you CAN take a virtual tour of the castle and see some super awesome magnificence. Check that out HERE.
But for those of you who just want more INSPIRATION, we’ve got that for you today as well. In the office here I took a paper mache box and painted it with Faber-Castell Chalkboard paint. This paint went on really smoothly and dried very quickly. I put two coats on to cover it all and keep it smooth. The matte finish is just gorgeous and perfect for chalk/markers/pencils….
But, of course, I had to emboss on it. Our Q170 Zinnia embossed with White Embossing Powder and VersaMark ink looked amazing. I added the H303 Have I Told You the same way. Then I used the Neutral Art Grip Pencils to color in the flower. I did the petals in white and gray and the center in the goldish color. I highlighted everything with the Metallic PITT Pens set. Then the Stamper’s BIG White Pen provided the little dots, followed up by the gold metallic PITT Pen. Super happy with the result, may be my Mother’s Day gift… hee hee.
Our Design Team has more inspiration for you today, too. And remember that tomorrow will be our BIG blog hop! You will have until the end of Sunday to comment and be entered to win some terrific prizes (hint, chalkboard ink is in one of the prize packages!). Here’s who is blogging today:
