Coloring Stampendous with Faber-Castell

faber castell gelatos

Continuing our terrific partnership with Faber-Castell this week, we’d love to feature some great images colored with their Gelatos product. These products work like watercolors when scribbled on to a palette and applied with a waterbrush. They can also be applied directly to your scrapbook background and then spritzed with water from a spray bottle or brushed with a wet brush to create washes or drips of color. So versatile and so easy to use!

Here scrapbook artist Adrienne Ford uses our new Glance stamp along with our Rattan Weave Background stamp and the terrific Mixed Media Grunge Cling Set designed by Nathalie Kalbach for Stampendous.

From Mixed Media to cute, you can use your Gelatos to color anything. Here in-house Sample Artist Debi Hammons watercolored our Feather Bonnet Baby then added some strokes of colored pencil over the top for texture. Gelatos make it easy to create this type of look.

  1. Those chick and hats are just adorable. Love the coloring. I would love to try the gelatos one day. It’s looks like they are easy to work with.

  2. The grunge stamp set looks downright grungy! But when you put into the project it looks like it belongs perfectly! I’d be more confident using the stamps than making it freehand.
