Asia was on vacation for July in her homeland of Poland, and I missed her Citrus inspiration card she had for you. Wanted to share it here now! Did you enter a creation in our challenge? A new challenge starts tomorrow and we’ll have a winner for you from July as well! Here’s BlogStar Asia King –
Hello Friends!
Asia, here ☺. I made this fun card for July’s Citrus challenge, I hope this project will get your creative (citrus lol) juices flowing! 🙂

Bright citrus colours have got ‘summer’ written all over – and it’s my favourite time of year. Strangely enough, this theme has been quite a challenge for me as here in the UK we are slowly forgetting what summer is like ☹. In April some official people had this idea that we were at serious risk of drought as we didn’t get enough rain over winter. As a result, they announced a ‘hose pipe ban’. It’s been raining ever since – sigh….
For this project you will need:
Agapanthus Cluster stamp
Other supplies: Plain cardstock and patterned papers, floral/leafy embossing folders, Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die – Tag & Bookplates, Orange Peel Stickles, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade distress inks, Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist, paper doily, ribbons and flowers to embellish.
I started my project off with cutting a 5.5” x 5.5” card blank from a pearlescent orange card. I also cut a slightly smaller square from ivory cardstock which I used to matt my background paper.
Once the paper was shaded with Spiced Marmalade distress ink, I machine stitched it to the ivory matt.
Next I stamped the Agapanthus Cluster onto coordinating paper with Peeled Paint ink. I just adore this stamp, it’s so versatile!
Then using Cuttlebug embossing folders I embossed the stamped paper and ivory card, swiping them gently with Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint inks to highlight all raised areas.
After layering some ribbons and flowers over a crumpled paper doily, I accented the raised Agapanthus flowers with the Stickles. One die cut sentiment and quick spray of the Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist later and my citrus summery beauty was finished :).
Hmmm, I think I fancy some zesty lemonade now… lol ;). Till next time!

The ribbons and flowers were the ideal touch to that beautiful image! Ahhh…
