Every now and then (and not as often as I should) I like to open up our blog statistics and see how many folks are looking at our blog and what they’re looking for. This week several folks searched our blog for Nativity stamps, so I thought we’d post some terrific samples with some of our best sacred stamps in case you still need help with Christmas card ideas.
Design Team member Jennifer Dove made this fantastic card using our CRV186 Cling Sacred Silhouette (also available wood mounted, like all our cling stamps, as V186). If you click on these links you’ll be taken to the product page on our website for the products. Below each product are little pictures of sample cards. Double click those small pictures and they’ll get big. Then, click to enlarge to really see the detail. You can also drag or copy them to your desktop to save them for ideas. Cool, huh? Here’s Jenn’s card. It’s a really easy one because she uses Class A’Peel Stickers to make it look fancy.
Design Team Member Cyndi Bundy made this terrific card with CRP137 Cling Manger Scene (or in wood P137). She also made a simple card look fancy with these Class A’Peel Stickers. She added the Precious Bundle Greeting, inking only part of it with a VersaMark pad, and embossing the whole thing in the new Shabby White Embossing Enamel.
I have always loved this fantastic large Wisemen stamp of ours, and every year I breathe a huge sigh of relief when it makes the cut for another year. Our in-house Sample Artist, Debi Hammons, used our new Aged Embossing Enamels on this beautiful piece. She inked the stamp with VersaMark and stamped it. Then she sprinkled Aged Copper on the leftmost king, to remove the powder she tipped the card away from the other two wet kings and tapped off the excess copper. Then sprinkle the center king with Aged Gold, tip away from the remaining wet king and let the powder fall across the copper one. Sprinkle the remaining king and the star with Aged Silver and tap off the excess. Heat and WOW! Don’t they look regal? Adding our new L251 Seek Him (or CRL251 Cling Seek Him) greeting in Aged Gold was just the finishing touch! And that fancy looking background?? She sprayed Kraft card stock with instant coffee mixed very strong with water in our spray bottle! While the paper is wet, sprinkle a few extra coffee grounds on it to create a variety in intensity. Do all your backgrounds and let them dry before embossing.
You’ll notice this year that silhouette styles are in. They make creating a large number of cards so easy because there’s no coloring necessary. Here DT member Lynn Mercurio used the Manger Scene and Precious Bundle to create her CAS card for our challenge earlier this year.
DT member Wendy Jordan used the Manger Scene and Precious Bundle to created this sample embossed in Aged Black on Burlap. What an interesting texture!
If you’re new to stamping, or just want something simple, we created this sample for a demonstration at Michael’s Stores. It features our Traveling Far stamp and Blue Magic embossing powder.
Design Team Member Wendy Price created this beautiful take on the gifts the Wisemen brought the baby Jesus. Wendy embossed our Dream Text with VersaMark ink and Clear Embossing Powder on her paper. then she stamped our fantastic Three Gifts stamp over the top. The embossing powder resists the new ink, when you wipe it with a tissue the words show through in the paper color. Simple but fantastic.
Hopefully, this gives you some great ideas for using Stampendous products to create your cards celebrating Jesus’ birth.
