Saturday Sketch Challenge

And last week’s Sketch Challenge winners are….

Melinda! Stampendous owner and stamp artist, Fran Seiford, chose Melinda’s because she “loved the design use of circles and the bright cheery colors.” Melinda used the Love Robotz Perfectly Clear Stamp Set.

And Regla! Our customer representative, Ronnie, said she loved Regla’s card because it was “classy yet simple to make and had great contrast.” In her card, Regla used Footprint Friends Woodmounted Rubber Stamp and the Bee Buddies Woodmounted Rubber Stamp.

Since this is 4th of July weekend and we are celebrating America’s freedom, we are giving you the “freedom” to express your creativity. That means that this week there is no set sketch so anything goes! You can make anything that your little heart desires!

Ok, you know the drill. Get out your stash and make something beautiful with Stampendous products. Post your creation to your blog, website, or in any public forum like Paper Craft Planet.com, Splitcoast Stampers.com, Stamp Shack.com or others. Copy the link to your card and paste it into the comment section of this blog post. Don’t worry if you try and post a comment and it doesn’t show up immediately! We post them on Monday. Find out more information by clicking on the “Sketch Challenge Rules” link at the top of this blog. Here is an example of Stampendous Design Team member, Jen Dove’s card made for this week’s sketch challenge. Good luck everyone!

Father’s Day Card Ideas

Father’s Day is coming soon, and we have some cool Daddy Robots to share! Why not get your Robots (SSC1032 Spotz Botz) doing “Dad” things? Our Robots can play soccer, baseball, basketball, football and golf with our (SSC135 For Him) Perfectly Clear™ Set. They can also wear a tie, go fishing, paint the fence or just celebrate their special day with a balloon bouquet. Daddy Robot could also be a musician (like lots of Daddy’s we know) and play the guitar from our (SSC679 Rock Out) Perfectly Clear™ Set. So get your Botz off the couch and get stampin’!!! Your Daddy will be proud.

Dad’s appreciate Painting with Powder, too. And wine…so make your Dad a grape vineyard card for Father’s Day and tie it to a nice bottle of wine. This card uses M236 Grape Scene Stamp, EK06 Merlot Embossing Powder Kit and R113 Floral Dream Stamp.

Stamp a Changito image inside a line-up of ties to personalize your Father’s Day card for your Monkey-lovin’ Dad. Just stamp the tie image from the SSC192 Thanks Dad Perfectly Clear Stamp Set on a piece of post-it note paper and cut the inside shape of the tie out. Then cover your stamped tie image with the mask, and then stamp V175 Changito Piggyback (or CRV175 Cling Rubber) over the area where you want the image to show up. It’s a designer tie! Just what your Dad wants for Father’s Day- one that he doesn’t have to wear.

Kidz & Botz!

We are not surprised by how much kids love the Botz Stamps! Lisa, our Art Director bought them for her nephews and they can’t get enough of them! And Tammy, our Controller, gave a set to her two sons, Tino and Tomas, to stamp with and they came up with a ton of cool robot combinations! You’ll have to watch the video at the end of this entry to see them in action! Girls love them, too! Kelsey D., from Ontario, sent us a couple of her cute Botz creations that we would love to share with you:

Botz Contest

botzbowlcard

Here at Stampendous we love all our stamps, but sometimes we make some that really tickle our funny bones. Our fantastic Robotz are just such images. We’ve had so much fun putting these bits and pieces together into hysterical combinations.  These Robotz gave us so many giggles that we came up with a contest for our wonderful retail stores to host. We supplied a set of robot stamps to each participating store so that stampers could work in the store without needed to purchase anything, then we asked folks to come up with their most creative Robotz creations.

WOW! We really had some fantastic entries, and the judging was very difficult.  There, were, however some really stand out offerings, and we’d like to share those with you today. Judy and Jan Trim submitted their entries to us through Creative Quest Glendale, Arizona and Stamp Works in Chandler, Arizona. They will each receive $100 retail in Stampendous product and their store receives a prize, too.

We’ll share the other entries with you this Thursday, so be sure to check back! Congratulations Judy and Jan! We’re definitely Better Together Than Apart!
