How Exciting! Our Pails are in Disney’s Family Fun Magazine!

We couldn’t be more excited!

Disney Family Fun Magazine is featuring our Gallon Pails for a 4th of July “patri-botic” centerpiece project in their June/July 2010 issue! They even have a photo of it in their table of contents!! We couldn’t be more thrilled! It is an absolutely adorable project, super resourceful and, actually, very easy to make!

Check out the project instructions at the Family Fun website. And stock up on your clear pails to make patri-botic centerpieces for all your friends and family here. In fact, why not make little robot versions of all your friends and family using our four sizes of clear pails! Gallon, quart, short, and mini!

Cards for Heroes Update

Hope you had a happy and safe 4th of July! Most of us here at Stampendous had BBQs with our families and watched the fireworks to celebrate our independence! We wouldn’t be able to do so without the help of our heroes, the soldiers. Now that July 4 has passed, we have ended the Cards for Heroes card drive, but if you forgot about our deadline and wish to participate, you can send your cards directly to Cards for Heroes. Get more info by clicking here.

We would like to thank everyone who participated! We got some really great cards! Here’s a photo of some of our favorites:

cards4herosAnd a big thank you to Nancy S., Piali B., L.G. and the others that chose to be anonymous. We know that your cards are going to create a lot of smiles!

Celebrate Flag Day!

We would like to celebrate Flag Day, which is on June 14th and commemorates the adoption of the US flag, by sharing this cute Biker Bee card and its recipe. And on the topic of being patriotic, we hope you remember to send us your “Cards for Heros“. Up until July 4th, 2009, we will be collecting any birthday cards you send us so that soldiers serving overseas may have birthday greetings to send back home to husbands, wives, kids, mothers, fathers, friends and other loved ones. And we will share our very favorites on this blog! Mail any cards you’d like to donate to:

Help Stamp Cards for Heroes!

I hope you had a fantastic Memorial weekend! We all sure did! Most of us spent time with our families outside BBQing in the warm California sun! And we honored all the brave men and women who have and who continue to serve to protect our country.

Ed Seiford Reunion

Fran’s father, Ed Seiford, served as a Sailor in WWII and was barely 20 when his destroyer was blasted by kamakazis and sunk into the South China Sea off Okinawa within 12 minutes as the sun was sinking on May 3, 1945.  He kept an injured comrade afloat until rescued about midnight. Recently Fran and her father attended his Navy Ship Reunion in San Antonio along with 6 octogenarians of the original crew.  They witnessed a plaque unveiling at the Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg just north of San Antonio.  For USS Little’s history go to:

Plaque

In honor of all the men and women who are currently serving, and in the spirit of our current Stampendous Favorites Birthday Cards theme, we at Stampendous have started a collection of birthday cards to send to Cards for Heroes. Cards for Heros’ mission is “to support our nation’s armed forces by sending blank greeting cards to write home on”. Between now and July 4th, 2009, we will be collecting the birthday cards you send us so that soldiers serving overseas may have birthday greetings to send back home to husbands, wives, kids, mothers, fathers, friends and other loved ones. And we will share our favorites on the blog, of course! Mail any cards you’d like to donate to:
