April in Wonderland

Are any of our fans out there also Alice in Wonderland fans? Here at Stampendous we love Victorian art and literature and just think Alice is fantastic! In January we released our Wonderland Perfectly Clear™ Stamps Set, and folks have been enjoying making their own creations reminiscent of this classic series of books.

We decided this April to partner with the Altered Alice Blog to explore just where our Wonderland set could go.  Blog owner Lynne Phelps threw out this quote from Alice in Wonderland, Chapter 2 as the inspiration for this challenge!

“After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won’t she be savage if I’ve kept her waiting!’”– Chapter 2; Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

We hope you’ll play along and enter your wondrous creations to possibly win our Wonderland stamp set.

Of course our fantastic Design Team leapt on this opportunity and came up with their own amazing creations!

Pam Hornschu starts us off this month with her version of a timely birthday greeting!

Pam used the Altered Alphabet Perfectly Clear Stamp set plus Aged Gold Embossing Enamel along with her Wonderland set to create this gorgeous card.  She shows a perfect example of Fran’s Encrusted Jewel Technique!  You can get all the details on this beautiful project on Pam’s blog.

Wendy Price also played along this week. On her morning walk in Haddonfield, New Jersey she happened across a store window all decked out with cards in an Alice theme. There was even a keyhole shaped opening in the back lined with playing cards. She made this fabulous scrapbook layout incorporating her Wonderland set to make faux playing cards.

Are you inspired to play? Your entry doesn’t have to be Alice themed, but Alice themed entries count twice. Hop on over to the Altered Alice Blog and link your projects to the Linky Tool there and check out what their Design Team is working on with our Wonderland set. Then create your own entry based on the theme above.

Finally, if you decide to play with us… here’s a blinky for your blog so the world will know you love Alice, too!
