SSC1116 Friendship Assortment Perfectly Clear™ Stamp
Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle

Ink pad
Embroidery Thread (coordinate with ink color)
Piercing Tool
Sewing Needle
Cardstock for card base
Coordinating Pattern Paper
Utility knife

Cut a piece of pattern paper to within 5/8” from the edge of your folded card base. This card uses a 3 5/8-inch by 4 7/8-inch cut pattern paper.

Stamp the jumbo rose onto the bottom left side of the pattern paper.

On a coordinating patter paper, stamp the sentiment from Friendship Assortment set. Trim down the paper and cut the right edge with a shallow ribbon tail angle cut.

Pierce around the edges and sew a straight stitch with embroidery thread.

Cut along one of the outer petals on the right side with a utility knife in the height of the sentiment paper. Slide the sentiment into the cut and adhere from the back.

Glue the pattern paper to the card base.

“One of the intimidations with using vintage and large stamp images is what to do when it doesn’t fit on the paper size for a card. Look for the focal point of the stamp you want to show and let the rest run off the edge. Balance it out with more than one side that an image goes off the edge. Other Supplies:
Gesso paint
Paintbrush
Watercolor pencils
Aqua Pen
Card stock for card base and mat layer
Print patterned paper or create your own by using the Dream Text Stamp or Cling Music Score Stamp on plain card stock
Black pen (.05 or .08 size)
Ruler
Strong adhesive

TIP: The ink likes to sit on top of the gesso and stay wet so, I helped the ink dry quickly by using my heat gun tool on each layer to speed up drying, but you can also use a hair dryer if you don’t have one.

Begin by cutting the mat layer slightly larger than the print pattern paper and that they fit on your folded card base.

Paint gesso on the left half of the print paper, very thinly so you can still see part of the print through it. Make sure this layer is dry before continuing (remember my tip I shared at the beginning of the instructions).
Ink and stamp the Deco Lady stamp over the gesso area.
From the Charm Collection, ink and stamp the butterfly (3 times) around the Deco Lady image and the corner filigree in the bottom right corner and let dry.
Ink and stamp a sentiment from the Friendship Assortment set next to the Deco Lady image and let dry.

Color the dry gesso image with watercolor pencils using an aqua pen to spread the pigment from the pencils.
TIP: Have a paper towel ready in case the aqua pen gets really wet and to use between colors to clean the pen.

With a ruler and black pen, create a border around the print paper. Hop over any part of the stamped images and start the line again. The border on this card is 3/16 of an inch away from the edge.

The paper will be warped from all the fantastic layers, but with a clean paintbrush and some liquid glue you can flatten it out onto the mat layer and then on to the card base.

“On my way home from work one afternoon, I heard a report about the National Western Stock Show going on out in Denver, Colorado.  I used to live in Denver and this was one of my FAVORITE events of the year!  The previous day The Hubbums had handed me a little kraft gift bag he had left over from the holidays figuring I would want to do something with it.  Well, between that report and that little brown bag, I just KNEW I wanted to create something with a tad bit of a western flare, but still totally girly!  If you have ever been to the N.W.S.S. you know that there is PLENTY of girly going on there!  It is SO much fun!  The Bandana background stamp came to mind right away!  It was perfect!  And with that, I was inspired to create this fun little Hello Gift bag!”  – Jennifer J Ingle

Instructions:
Stamp flourish from Amore Frame set on bag being careful over ‘lumpy’ areas to get full contact.
Stamp Bandana Frame onto white card stock and punch hydrangea’s from the stamped sheet.
Use an Embossing stylus to roll the petals into shape.  Adhere to card with glue dots.
Cut scrap of patterned paper into banner.  Stamp sentiment.  Adhere to bag.
Using a glue pen, adhere two lines of glitter to the banner.  Thread string through button, tie and adhere over glitter.
Tie large bow around handle of bag to finish off and fill with goodies for a friend!

Card was simple to make using only white, craft and black card stock, very simple straight cuts and a black ribbon. Very little embellishment required to make a beautiful card.

Here is a close up of the flower detail. The details of the image are just amazing. The illustrator did such a fantastic job drawing these images that all you have to do is add a bit of color and presto! Tip: When coloring an image like this, remember that the illustrator (Fran of course) already did the work for you on where to put your shading and highlights. Add darker color in areas with hash marks, and less color where there are no hash marks. This makes coloring so easy!

Instructions:

1)    Create a box bottom the size of your largest card; mine was 6”(L) x 4.5”(W) x 1”(D)

2)    Cut out a sheet of card stock that wraps around the box with a 0.5” edge beyond the box base.(mine was 7”(L) x 11” (W); scoring the width at 5” and 6”). Adhere to the box base and box depth.

3)    Distress a cream card stock with coffee stains (randomly misting water onto coffee powder sprinkled on card stock). Fran•táge with a random mixture of mica flakes and glitter. Mat with dark brown card stock. Adhere twine to box, wrapping around to form a closure from front to back.

4)    Stamp bird on kraft card stock and emboss with embossing powder. Distress edge with deckling scissors and distressed ink. Add glitter and stickles to bird body and crown.

5)    Adhere finished bird image to box front and finishing with more mica flakes to frame the image.

Instructions:

1.     Stamp Cling Jumbo Romantic Border on to ivory card stock (5.5” x 4.25”) with black ink.

2.     Trim 2 strips of patterned paper to 5.5” x .75”’ punch out 1 strip of patterned paper with border punch and adhere to bottom of image. Adhere the other strip of patterned paper to top of image. Zigzag stitch the seams for a decorative accent. Adhere to card base.

3.     Stamp sentiment onto vellum, round the corners and embellish with pearls.

4.    Adhere to center of card front.
