We’ve recently been making unique & appealing backgrounds using our Therm-O-Web Double-Sided PEEL n STICK™ Adhesive with our Fuzzy Fun Flocks™…  We call it the Sticker Background Technique! During CHA we taught this amazing method to store owners and designers that came to our trade show booth including Kimberly Crawford, card maker extraordinaire! She went home, played around with the Sticker Background Technique and then created this stunning Halloween card (you can check it out along with her other beautiful cards on her blog):

Recipe:

• FL400 Cotton Ball White Fuzzy Fun Flock
• FL401 Plain Ol’ Black Fuzzy Fun Flock
• AC988K Jumbo Damask Class A’Peel™ Stickers in Black (to find this sticker, ask your local retailer. Find your local retailer here).
• AC672HSO Dot Sparklers Class A’Peel Stickers in Orange Holograph
• FX70 Therm O Web Double-Sided PEEL n STICK™ Adhesive

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of Therm O Web doubled sided adhesive sheet to the size you want. Peel off the backing and apply it to the black card base.
2. Then peel two damask stickers off and apply Plain Ol’ Black Fun Flock to the sticky side and rub the flock in.
3. Peeling the top double sided adhesive sheet backing off of the card base,  gently place the damask stickers where you want. You can finagle the stickers a bit on the adhesive sheet, but not much, so commit carefully.
4. Here is the fun part, dump a ton of white Fun Flock all over the adhesive sheet and damask stickers. Rub it in a circular motion until the background becomes mostly white. Tap off the excess and with a paint brush, sweep away the white Fun Flock from the damask stickers.
5. Add an orange ribbon and  distress the edges of the black card base with a tool and added white ink.
6. Cut out a small tag, hole-punch it, stamp a cute Halloween sentiment on it and tie it to the orange ribbon with a bit of  string.
7. Feel free to add Dot Sparklers to the card to give it more color!

This stamp is normally used for wedding cards, but in this case Terri repurposed it for her Halloween cards. To create this card, you can place a piece of scotch tape over the sentiment on the rubber stamp which says “Wedding Belle Shoes”. Next, ink the stamp and then remove the tape. When you stamp the image, only the shoe, or the areas which are inked, will show up on your paper.
