Halloween Hoot-Out

Happy H-OWL-Oween everyone!  It’s the wrap up to our Owl Theme this week and sadly to our month long string of Halloween themed posts. We have so much more to share though from the July Catalog and you’ll start seeing more projects with NEW products from the October Catalog. It’s just exciting to know what’s ahead and a bit ornery to keep it to ourselves. Not for long though, because we like to share and share we must.

Yes, there is something we can tell you. The October Monthly Blog Challenge is officially closed and we’ll be announcing the winner at the beginning of next week. Thank you to all who participated and filled the Link Party with your Halloween Haunts!

It’s been a great week of owls and  still more to see today! Debi Hammons created these samples with Steampunk Owl for Michael’s that we just adore. Each card uses the same stamp sets (Steampunk Owl and Autumn Words) and with just a few changes in color or effect they make a nice trio of cards for gift giving or sending individually. Here they are!

Owl be in the Study

It’s Literary Owl who’s in our study today. He’s one of our any occasion stamps that would work great for those projects that instill the reader in you or those that have inspired you through the love of learning. There’s just so many directions you can take with this stamp that we’ll just have to show you a few samples to spark the inspiration bug.

There is a whole bunch of goodness going on with the torn paper, coffee stain map and Fran•táge style bling on this card created by Jennifer Dove.

Wendy made a golden card with a colorful stack of books for his perch. You can recreate this card from the project page on our website.

Here’s one more Literary Owl on a beautiful bookmark. This one was created by design team alumni Suzanne Czosek. Look how she’s created the precariously stacked set of books.

We love this stamp and the projects that were inspired by it. We’ll be back tomorrow with some delightful inspiration from the design team .

It’s not Owl-about Halloween

Oh we have owls for Halloween, but it’s not always Halloween so we have owls for other times of the year, too. Take our Santa Hat Owl stamp who’s pretty cute and festive if we do say so ourselves. He sure would look good on a Christmas gift tag.

We found out that a parliament of this owl recently flew in to the blog of colorist and class instructor Jennie Black after one of her local classes. We love to see our products being used and enjoyed in the local stores. You can see how they turned out at Jennie’s blog here.

Look whooo’s returned today? It’s PenPattern Owl back all painted and framed in a project by Debbie Cole. The wood frame is from Viking Woodcrafts online store that carries a wide variety of wood products and instruction booklets.

We just love how this bird can be colored in so many wonderful ways. How many more of our PenPattern Owl can there be this week? Here’s a chance to find out with more projects from some of our Design Team members. If you missed our MONDAY post you can see some more projects by our designers.

Owls Alight for Halloween

If there was a stamp to make everything right for your Halloween decor  Tombstone Owl would be at the top of the list. Isn’t that a sight for Halloween! It would be a great tag for trick or treat bags. Tombstone Owl comes in both Wood Mounted and Cling Mount Stamp options.

Whooooo’s Ready for Halloween?

We are! This week it’s OWL about the owls! We have a study of owls to whoot about this week. Today we have our eye on PenPattern Owl who is designed for coloring in delightful patterns or even create more mesmerizing detail with doodling in pen. You’ll be seeing him popping in here on our blog and on the designers blog all this week and it starts here with this stunning Fran•táge wreath by Fran Seiford!

The owl has been detailed with more pen patterns and framed in a leafy wreath. You are going to love the detail in this wreath (just click the photo to enlarge the view). You should also take a look at this Project Page too, for instructions on how to create one of our own.  It shares some handmade papers created for the die-cut leaves and a list of Essentials that make this wreath glimmer and glisten.

There are two available stamps options for our patterned owl that is available in a local store near you or online store.

Tangled Pumpkin Parade

Today is our wrap-up to the pumpkin parade theme on our blog, but we’d love to see you continue the parade by joining in on our Monthly Blog Challenge. You can always go up to our menu at the top of our blog to access the challenge information.

The intricate design in the Tangled Border stamp weaves Jack o’ Lanterns with thorny vines together and is a perfect complement to our other Halloween images. Kristine Reynolds’ festive treat box showcases the  pairing of Witchy Dance with Tangled Border.Q203_Y029_KR_800

Wendy created a beautiful background with Tangled Border on her Lady and Jack card that we shared on Witchy Wonders week. Here’s a close up of her background that really shows how spectacular the stamp is in design.

This wraps up our week of pumpkins and now there are a few more samples to see from our designers.
