Handmade Gifts Week – Day 5

Finally Friday here on Handmade Gifts week. It’s flown by waaaay too fast! Don’t you feel inspired to start some handmade Christmas gifts this weekend? Well, don’t forget Saturday morning we’ll be featuring an entire team full of gift ideas here. Be sure to visit ALL the blogs and leave a comment for the chance to win the stamps used on this week’s gifts.

Today we want to feature a fantastic project for a beginning stamper! A featured project on Michaels Stores’ Stamptember  celebration this year, this darling picture frame was created by our in-house Sample Artist Debi Hammons. All the products used are available at Michaels.

Carte Postale Frame by Debi Hammons

This adorable frame is so easy. It features our Carte Postale stamp. Debi has even used it to impress into a medallion she created with several layers of gold embossing powder.

These inexpensive wood frames make fantastic gifts for the traveler in your life. Or just frame your children’s school pictures for grandparents and others!

Today one of our Design Team members has some inspiration for you.

Please visit Tenia Nelson’s blog and leave some comments to win some of the great stamps shown in this week’s projects.

(and be sure to keep your eye on our blog for winner announcements!) (In fact you might want to go back over some old posts and see if you won anything…we still have a few unclaimed prizes from recent events.)  We also thought we’d remind you of some other gift ideas that our team members have posted earlier this year like:

Jan Garber’s Notecard Gift Sets

or her Christmas Cardinals Decorator Plate

And what about

Suzanne Czosek’s Angel Bear Christmas Triptych

or her Jumbo Iris Decorator Plate

or even her AMAZING Clear Scraps Album

How about

Wendy Price’s Inspirational Plaque with Easel

Our team is always working on out-of-the-box 3D items. You can find even more fantastic projects with supply lists and directions on our website HERE.

In the End… It’s CLEAR, We Love Clear Scraps

Our Design Team is unanimous, we loved these projects.

At first they were timid…you want us to do WHAT?

Then they were worried… can I think of ANYTHING cute to do with this thing?

Finally they were excited! As they’ve shared their projects all week and enjoyed your comments and appreciation, they have really come to love these acrylic surfaces for so many things.

And NOW they’ve outdone themselves.  Sit back, have a terrific cup of coffee and something yummy to eat, because you’re about to be blown away. The projects they’ve created today are incredible!  Be sure to comment on each blog because you get one entry in our prize contest for every comment. We’ll post winners on Monday (or Tuesday…depends how many we have to count) so be sure to check back.

It’s Clear To See! Stampendous and Clear Scraps Day 4

We’re having so much fun with the Clear Scraps products we received, and we’re so happy their Design Team is making such beautiful things incorporating our stamps! (We’re in love with several of the projects they’ve posted!)

We’ve loved Clear Scraps for a long time. Here’s a sample one of our designers made when this Yule Penguin Perfectly Clear Stamps Set was brand new

Can you see the acrylic heart in the center? She made it frosty looking by adding some Diamond Glaze or Dimensional Magic in the shape of icicles then covering them with our Multi Crystal Glitter Mix from the Treasures Glitter Kit. She accented parts of the card with that as well as our Cotton Ball White Fun Flock on the furry parts of their hats and sweater.

So definitely hop around the blogs below and find out what the other Designers are doing! We hope you’ve set your alarm clock for Saturday morning, too, because our BIG Blog Hop will blow you away with amazing uses for these fantastic products!

Be sure to comment on the blogs as you visit for a chance to win a cool prize package! And then visit us on Facebook and SHARE this blog post on your wall for another chance to win! Here’s who is hopping today!

Welcome, ClearScraps!

We’re so excited this week because we get to play with the generous people at ClearScraps and share some inspiration with you.  How this came about…

Last year at we offered a workshop using ClearScraps 8 X 8 Sassy Mixables Album. I LOVED working with this product, and so did all our students. The workshop was such fun, and a huge success.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside Album by Laura Weed

Thanks to our generous friends at ClearScraps, Tsukineko, Bazzill, and American Crafts we were able to send our students home with an amazing project.

However, due to unfinalized enrollment numbers at the time, we brought home lots of extra albums… what to do? Of course…send them to our Designers (and save a few for YOU!)

At CHA I got to talk to my friends at ClearScraps, and they told me about their new Send It Clear acrylic greeting cards. An idea began to form. How about a blog collaboration with their design team where each member would make a project for the week and a separate one for the BIG Saturday Blog Hop! YES!

ClearScraps sent enough cards for our Design Team (and for YOU), our good buddies at Tsukineko sent inks for everybody (yes, YOU, too!), and we were off!

Acrylic products always look so cool in the store, but what do you do with it when you get it home? You’re about to find out! A whole week of the most luscious, fun, doable projects you’ve ever seen. AND there will be prizes! (here’s where the stuff for YOU comes in). We’ve got three huge prize packages to give away featuring Stampendous Class A’Peel Stickers, Stampendous Cling Rubber Stamps, Stampendous Perfectly Clear Stamps, a ClearScraps Album just like ours, two Send it Clear Cards from Clear Scraps, an additional ClearScraps product (varies), a colored StazOn ink pad from Tsukineko, an opaque StazOn pad from Tsukineko (with refill), some Sponge Daubers and some Ink Blushers from imagine Crafts/Tsukineko. You can win our prizes in three ways -

  • Comment here on our blog – all week  -  we’ll choose one winner from the Mon – Fri Comments
  • Check us out on Facebook! We’ll keep our ClearScraps collaboration posts at the top. Click SHARE and share them on your wall. We’ll draw a winner from all the folks who SHARE our posts this week (through Saturday’s hop)
  • Comment on our Hop! Saturday will be our big Blog Hop – comment on the blogs and we’ll enter you once for each comment!

Plus – ClearScraps has a passel of prizes as well. You can win them by visiting and commenting on their blog!

So our Design Teams have been playing with these fun products. Here are the players today! Be sure to leave comments!
