This week’s challenge is brought to you by the Scrappy Chick, Cyndi B. She came up the the delicious idea to do a “recipe” sketch. And that isn’t what you’d think it would be. You’re not expected to make recipe cards. A recipe sketch challenge is where we give you a list of things you need to include in your card or scrapbook page. For this challenge, we’d like you to use:
- the color black
- some glitter (or bling)
- ribbon
Pretty simple, right? It doesn’t have to be Halloween theme. The Design Team members just made their samples Halloween themed because we’re in the beginning of the spooky season right now.
Here’s the example Cyndi came up with. She used:
- Hang Out Spider Cling Rubber Stamp Set
- Spooky Fence Class A’Peel Stickers
- Spider Webs Class A’Peel Stickers
- Green Ultra Fine Pearl Glitter
- Lavender Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter
Cyndi also made this darling door hanger for a different sketch challenge she’s going to have on her blog later, but it happens to fit for our challenge, too! Cyndi used these products in her hanger:
- Give Candy Woodmounted Rubber Stamp (which also comes in Cling Rubber)
- Black Ultra Fine Pearl Glitter
Wendy made a door hanger, too (they make awesome one-of-a-kind Halloween decorations!). Here’s her list of Stampendous products used:
- Spider Web Cling Rubber Stamp Set
- Orange Holograph Dot Sparkler Class A’Peel Stickers
- Tricks N Treat Fringe Benefit Flock & Glitter Kit
Jen created this crafty card with these supplies:
- Stop By Woodmounted Rubber Stamp
- G073 Twig Broom Woodmounted Rubber Stamp
- Black Holograph Dot Sparkler Class A’Peel Stickers
And the winners from last week’s sweet and simple challenge are:
Michelle! This fun and playful everyday card is absolutely adorable! She stamped the images with the Flower Chat Perfectly Clear Stamp Set. We love the cheery color palette and embellishments!
Also, congratulations to Carol! She stamped this stylish card that would surely bring a smile to anyone’s face. She used our NEW Thinking Bouquet Perfectly Clear Stamps Set, which you can find at your local store supplying Stampendous stamps. It will be available on our website soon!

This recipe is perfect for Halloween, but I have already made all the cards I need for Halloween, so I went for an All Occasion card that I could donate to Operation Write Home.
